Chapter 25

Blade, nearly two meters tall, possessed a remarkably robust physique with bulging muscles. His short-sleeved T-shirt emphasized his impressive pectoral muscles, rivaling those of an average woman. His bronze arms inspired fear, while his thick eyebrows and sharp eyes radiated power.

Upon arrival, he rubbed his bald head and asked Trevor in a hoarse voice, "Who do you want me to kill?"

Before Trevor could speak, Easton impatiently interjected, "Him! That bastard ruined my wedding and tore off one of my fingers! Kill him. No, wait, that's too easy. I want you to cut him up bit by bit and throw the pieces in the river for the fish—"

Blade cut him short with a backhand slap that left Easton reeling.

"B-B-Blade! You hit the wrong person! I wanted you to hit Severin, not me!" Easton cried, bewildered, clutching his face.

Blade smiled coldly. "I don't take orders from you. That question was for your father. Remember, I'm returning a favor, not serving you. A brat like you has no right to command me!"

The corner of Trevor's mouth twitched. He had once helped Blade, and in return, Blade owed him a favor. Had the Loughs not been so humiliated that day, Trevor would have saved the favor.

Trevor glared at Easton. "You idiot! Mind your place! Back off!"

Easton, aware of Blade's ruthlessness, obeyed.

Trevor chuckled, then groveled, "I only want you to cripple that kid."

While he desperately wanted Severin dead, Trevor knew Diane would be displeased. Although currently estranged, Diane might one day return to the Shanahans; killing Severin would be an affront to them. Denzel had also protected Severin, so antagonizing him might cause a rift with the Monroes.

Weighing these factors, Trevor decided to settle for crippling Severin. It was the least he could do to vent his anger.

Blade frowned, observing the Shanahans. He looked at Catherine and asked, "What's going on here?"

Helga eagerly volunteered an explanation, exaggerating slightly. "Isn't he disgusting? My daughter was with him for three years, and he still wants the dowry!"

Blade responded coldly, "I don't care about your family drama, but I admire this kid's courage. He has guts, but no skill. Guts alone make a reckless fool!"

He turned to Severin. "Forget the forty thousand. But taking Easton's finger is serious. Apologize, cut off a hand, and we'll call it even. What do you say?"

Severin smiled faintly, pushed aside the security guards, and walked towards Blade, hands behind his back. He sneered, "Apologize? Do they think they deserve my apology?"

The sheer audacity of Severin's response shocked everyone. He showed Blade no respect despite Blade's attempt to help him.
