Chapter 78

"You're right, it is very strange. Don't worry, I'll ask around," Easton agreed.

Severin drove home with his family after carrying Diane to the car.

"It's all thanks to Blade for helping us!" Judith was still rattled by the incident and sighed. "He rushed in with so many people that I thought he was targeting us! I never expected him to be helping us!"

"Do you know who this Blade person is, Severin? He seems like a really powerful person!" Maurice asked.

Diane glanced at Severin, puzzled. Maurice and Judith hadn't been at Easton's wedding, but she had. She clearly remembered Blade owing the Loughs a favor, and that Trevor had called in that favor to have Blade deal with Severin.

Later that night, Blade seemed to side with Severin. Although Diane didn't know what happened downstairs, she found it odd that Blade addressed Severin as "Mister Severin." Most importantly, Blade delivered a message that their boss wanted to see Severin.

Severin smiled. "I don't know what they're up to, but I'll visit Draco Hall tomorrow and find out what's going on!"

Diane frowned. "You can't mess with Draco Hall, Severin. I'm worried you might be in danger! Let me go with you!"

Her words warmed Severin's heart, but he said, "I'm touched by your concern, but I don't think you'll be much help if I encounter danger. And judging by their attitude tonight, I think they have other reasons for wanting to speak with me. Everything will be fine! Don't worry!"

"If you're free tomorrow, you can tidy up the house with Mom and Dad, maybe even buy some new things. We're having relatives over in a couple of days!" Severin added. Diane nodded. "Okay."

"What do you mean 'okay'? Didn't you sprain your ankle? You should rest for a few days or get it checked at the hospital tomorrow!" Judith exclaimed.

Severin smiled. "Don't worry, Mom. Did you forget I'm a doctor? I'll check it later, and she'll be fine by tomorrow, I promise!"

"Sprains take a long time to heal, Severin. How could it be that easy when Diane's ankle is swollen?" Judith smiled wryly, thinking her son was a braggart who often made outlandish claims.

"Well, I'm not an ordinary doctor. I'm a miracle doctor!" Severin replied.
