Chapter 84
Larry was excited. "Regardless of how you obtained the ring, you are now the Supreme Leader of the twelve halls. You are our leader!"
"What the f*ck?" Severin suddenly remembered something. The old man had given him a letter in the past, instructing him to read it only in a strange situation.
This seemed to be that situation. The old man had mentioned a large, powerful organization divided into twelve halls, each named after an animal of the Chinese zodiac.
At the time, Severin dismissed it as a story. He never imagined anyone would actually call him Supreme Leader. He retrieved the letter and opened it:
[Haha! Hey Severin, by the time you read this, you'll know I've left. I've never had disciples, so you're my only one. Therefore, I'm passing Dracodeus Temple to you.]
[That's right. You're now the Supreme Leader of Dracodeus Temple. Forgive my secrecy; I feared you'd refuse. I founded Dracodeus Temple but never properly managed it. I hope you'll find the people from the twelve halls after your release and bring the Temple to greatness!]
[It's a difficult mission, but I believe in you. Oh, and don't forget to go to Dracodeus Isle on August 15th! You'll find something waiting there! The Dracodeus Ring symbolizes the Supreme Leader, so consider this my setup. I'm sure you won't blame me! Haha!]
Severin was stunned. The old man had been the previous Supreme Leader of Dracodeus Temple. Giving Severin the ring was passing on the leadership. Worse, it wasn't optional; he hadn't even had a chance to refuse.
He felt something else in the envelope. Inside, besides the letter, was a map drawn by the old man, clearly marking the locations of the twelve halls. According to the map, Draco Hall was in Brookbourn.
"I guess I really am the Supreme Leader of Dracodeus Temple. Damn that old man! He should have told me sooner!"
Severin smiled bitterly. He'd longed for a peaceful life after returning home, but the old man had given him a monumental task.
Larry said seriously, "Supreme Leader, it seems the old Supreme Leader has passed the position to you. His high opinion suggests he believes you can succeed. Everyone in Draco Hall now belongs to you. We will follow your orders."
"That's right, Supreme Leader! We'll do anything you ask!" Blade shouted.
Severin chuckled. "I don't have any orders yet. Carry on as usual for now. But keep my identity secret. The Supreme Leader of Dracodeus Temple has always been mysterious, so let's continue that tradition. Give me your phone numbers so we can stay in touch."
"Yes, Supreme Leader!"
Blade and Larry exchanged glances and gave Severin their numbers.
Severin paused before leaving. "If there's nothing else"
Larry said hesitantly, "Supreme Leader, there's one more thing we need your help with!"
