Chapter 129
"Adrian, still have any unworn clothes?" Stacey's voice was low, probing.
Adrian, initially confused, quickly understood. "Everything's at home. Housekeeper'll pack them, send them to you." He didn't mind; his motherโs shopping sprees had the storage room overflowing.
Staceyโs eyes lit up. "Really? Thanks, Adrian!"
He smiled. "Don't mention it." Stacey's quick nod echoed his sentiment, "Got it, got it!"
The next day, a helicopter landed, a whirring marvel that stole Sierra's breath. Her jaw dropped. Is this real? A private helicopter! she thought, hugging Stacey fiercely. "Oh my goodness, Becky! I love you!"
Stacey chuckled, returning the hug. "We should go. The sooner, the better."
Sierra, phone in hand, frantically snapped photos. For the grandkids! she vowed silently. Then, she joined Stacey aboard the whirring machine. This was Staceyโs first solo trip home; Debra and the ayah stayed behind.
Meanwhile, Theodore, dusty and exhausted from a grueling day at the company โ and the Carters' machinations โ raced to the base, desperate to see Rebecca. Giffordโs meddling, coupled with the Carter familyโs calculated moves, had left him drained. He just wanted to clear up the misunderstanding with Rebecca.
Four hours later, he learned Rebecca had left. He confronted Vicky urgently. "When is she back?"
Vicky remained calm. "We don't know. Filming hasn't started; we can't restrict actors."
Theodore pulled out a card. "I'll invest twenty million."
Vicky's hand almost reached out, but the exclusive contract with the Carters held her back. "Sorry, Mr. Edwards, we already have investors."
Theodore withdrew the card, surprised. Vicky explained the exclusive contract. He sighed, then requested her Whatsapp number.
Vicky hesitated, then complied. A wealthy tycoon; future cooperation might arise, she thought, quickly texting Stacey about Theodore's visit.
On the helicopter, Stacey read Vicky's message, her face darkening momentarily. Her reply was swift: "Vicky, thank you. Ignore him."
Vicky sighed in relief. Becky and Theodore's situation is complicated. Good I didn't meet him!
Finally reaching Alagua City, Stacey took Sierra to her overflowing closet and warehouse. Sierra's phone clicked incessantly as she documented the luxury.
"I won't share these," Sierra reassured Stacey, understanding the importance of privacy.
After a lavish dinner, exhaustion claimed them. The next day, Stacey showed Sierra Alagua City before their return. The whirlwind trip was exhilarating for Sierra.
Two days later, Adrianโs clothes arrived. Sierra and Malcolm examined them; the results were perfect.
