Chapter 193
Hayden called Hugo. "Bro, don't worry, I'll handle it!" Hugo replied, his Zentiscupian words brimming with confidence. Minutes later, spotting Queenie at the entrance, he straightened his jacket and approached her.
In the car, Hayden watched the street. He exited as Hugo escorted Queenie out. A quick text confirmed Hayden's arrival. Hugo, using Hayden as a pretext, guided Queenie towards a nearby mall, claiming Hayden was waiting there. Then, feigning urgency, he excused himself, leaving Queenie to find Hayden alone.
Unsuspecting, Queenie hurried off. Hugo vanished. Inside, Wendell played with Lillian and Kevin before leaving; Lillian, though smitten, understood and followed her mother. Stacey and Debra, anticipating potential chaos, had prepped snacks to keep the children occupied.
Their peaceful snack time was short-lived. Christopher spotted Hayden. "Dad!" Lillian and Kevin bolted towards him, showering him with hugs. Stacey and Debra looked up, surprised.
The twins clung to Hayden’s legs, their faces alight. "Daddy!" they cried.
Wendell, at the Eklonna event, hoped to secure a customized Hoggard robot from Hayden. Spotting Hayden, he approached, only to find him surrounded by two adorable children clinging to his legs. ‘Hayden’s kids?’ he thought, excitement bubbling.
"Hello, Hayden, long time no see," Wendell greeted in Zentiscupian. Hayden turned. Lillian, captivated by Wendell's handsome features, abandoned her father and raced towards him.
Wendell scooped Lillian up, kissing her cheek. "My lucky star," he murmured. Hayden looked puzzled. Lillian seemed to know Wendell. Stacey and Debra were equally surprised.
Wendell, acknowledging the children's parents, asked, "Is this adorable girl your daughter?"
Lillian, unfazed, reached for Wendell's blonde hair. Stacey intervened, "Don't touch his hair, dear."
Wendell chuckled. "It's alright, kids are naturally curious." Stacey, bewildered, simply stared.
