Chapter 26

Jayden, standing aside, looked bewildered. He turned to the director and asked, "Are there any tools, Ben?" He wondered, "We can't possibly catch chickens with our bare hands, can we?"

Ben, holding a small megaphone, continued to announce to the guests, "You can find chicken-catching tools on your own or look for them in the forest. To make it easier, the production team hid mystery packages throughout the forest. Whether you find these packages depends on your skills."

As soon as Charlie heard that, he immediately grabbed Rebecca and ran off. Jayden quickly followed suit. He stopped thinking about techniques, bent down, scooped up three-year-old Daphne, and sprinted away. He thought, "Shoot. If there are mystery packages with chicken-catching tools in the forest, why are we wasting time at home?"

Meanwhile, Charlie's eyelids twitched furiously. He was convinced Ben, that bastard, must have tipped off Janet. Otherwise, that wretch wouldn't have left so quickly.

Ben, megaphone in hand, smiled as he watched them. He pondered, "Yes, I did give Janet a tip-off. But what choice did I have? Charlie made such a scene at the start. If I didn't give Janet some extra perks, she wouldn't have agreed to join the show. They're both handfuls. I can't afford to offend them!"

On the other hand, Janet, in the forest, had already found the first mystery package. She eagerly opened it and found a tool similar to a fishing net, but with a bigger net and thicker rope, making it sturdy and less likely to tear.

Karen looked at the large net and excitedly said, "Use this to catch chickens!"

"Yep!" Janet replied.

The comment section in the live Room Four was then filled with praise: [Janie is indeed smart. She found the tool for catching chickens so quickly!] [Janie is awesome. I can already imagine her winning first place soon!] [Go Janie! I believe in you. Go catch those chickens!]

When Janet glanced at the comments, she saw everyone praising her and couldn't help but smile happily.

Elsewhere, Lesley and her sister Angie wandered aimlessly in the mountains. Lesley initially wanted to follow Janet, partly because she was following company orders to help Janet and partly to ride on Janet's popularity.

However, shortly after entering the forest, the production team announced that the rules had changed: the five teams were no longer allowed to team up.

At that moment, Janet's expression darkened, and she felt awful. However, she had no choice but to follow the new rules and complete the tasks separately. She pretended to be considerate and comforted Lesley before splitting up.

To the viewers, it seemed like Janet was warmly comforting Lesley because she couldn't look after her junior colleague. But in reality, Janet was subtly reminding Lesley that they were in this together; Lesley had to help Janet succeed.

Lesley was frustrated that she couldn't use Janet's popularity and still had to secretly help Janet. Moreover, she had no idea how to help. The production team only told them to catch chickens in the forest, but the forest was huge, full of trees and shrubs, and she hadn't seen any chickens.

Lesley was deep in thought when her eyes widened. She spotted a chicken!

Angie got excited, too. She stared intently at the chicken, turned to Lesley, and said excitedly, "Lesley, there's a chicken over there!"

Immediately, Lesley and Angie clumsily rushed toward the chicken. But the chicken, seeing strange humans charging at it, turned and bolted.

Undeniably, they were the first to find a chicken, and it became a highlight. Many fans were drawn to their stream, watching the sisters try to catch it. Lesley and Angie, city-dwellers unused to mountain paths, looked clumsy, but their genuine clumsiness entertained the audience.

Chapter 25

Meanwhile, after Charlie and Rebecca entered the forest, they anxiously began searching for the chicken-catching package. But how would they find it? The forest was vast, and Charlie had no idea where it could be hidden.

Rebecca was also searching. Anxious, she noticed something red high in a tree. Looking up, she excitedly shouted, "There it is! Up there!"

Charlie heard her, looked up, and saw a large package. But it was high up. How could they get it down? He thought, "Should I find a long stick to poke the package down?"

Meanwhile, Rebecca walked to the tree, felt the trunk, and began climbing.

The number of viewers had risen to 300,000. Everyone watched in astonishment as Rebecca climbed with practiced ease, and a flood of comments exploded: [Holy cow. Becky can climb trees?] [Isn't Becky a beautiful and gentle girl? How does she know how to climb trees?]

The viewers weren't the only ones shocked. Charlie was stunned when he realized his sister was gone. He glanced at the comments, saw "Becky climbing trees," gasped, and looked up.

In a minute, Rebecca had climbed the tree, grabbed the package, yanked it down, and threw it down.

Nearby, Jayden approached with Daphne and saw this. He was stunned, looked at Rebecca, then at Charlie, and gave a thumbs-up, praising, "That's awesome!"

Viewers in both the first and fifth livestreams burst into laughter. The comment sections filled with messages praising her.

Only three-year-old Daphne didn't understand. She looked at Rebecca and the package, her eyes shining, and excitedly shouted, "Dad, Becky found the package!"
