Leroy pulled Yvonne away just as she was about to lose her temper. Once outside, her frustration intensified. “Leroy, why did we have to leave? What gives Cedric the right to be so arrogant?” Yvonne’s curiosity sparked as she contemplated whether Cedric had revealed Leroy’s thoughts. Leroy shook his head. “Look around. People are already staring at us. If you confront them now, you’ll seem aggressive.” He didn’t want to confront Cedric from the start. Now that he knew the full story, he decided to wait and see how things unfolded once Cedric’s weakness was revealed. “Leroy, are you suggesting that Payne Group will handle this matter on their own?” Yvonne asked, her surprise evident. Leroy seemed more complicated than she had initially thought. He shrugged. “It depends on Scarlett. She may go against the entire board of directors for Cedric.” Although he was smiling, his eyes reflected a sense of helplessness. Yvonne felt uneasy seeing him like this. “So, Cedric was right? The person in the hospital is Scarlett?” Yvonne glanced at Leroy, who gave her a slight nod. Just as he was about to elaborate, she interjected. “Leroy, I want you to know that I completely support you. With Ms. Payne in the hospital, you’re the one in charge as the doctor. I trust you to take responsibility.” She was thoughtful toward Leroy, particularly given his previous relationship with Scarlett. This seemed like an ideal chance for him to gain clarity on the situation. After all, Scarlett was now with Cedric, who had been given many privileges. Meanwhile, Grace let out a deep sigh, lost in thought. Suddenly, her phone buzzed with messages from the board of directors. After reading them, she was stunned. She instantly stood up, panic flickering in her eyes. “What? Another incident?” Grace was annoyed after answering the phone call. She had warned Cedric and Valda earlier, but they still caused a commotion. Thinking of this, she decided to head to the hospital herself. As Scarlett contemplated her lunch options, Grace suddenly burst through the door. She was visibly angry. Scarlett’s curiosity was palpable, but Grace simply gazed at her intently. “It’s all Cedric’s fault, Lettie. You’re too lenient. I warned you to be cautious last night. He caused quite a stir today. Do you know what people are saying out there?” Grace took a deep breath. Scarlett was confused since she hadn’t received any news and had already shared everything the night before. “Calm down. Tell me what happened first.” Scarlett tried to convince Grace, who clenched her jaw in frustration. “Just take a look for yourself. The board of directors has completely lost their minds and insists on uniting at any cost.” Grace passed the phone to Scarlett, who gasped in disbelief at the screen. She sat up straight and murmured, “How can this be happening? I had advised him just last night. Why is he still…” Scarlett’s eyes were full of disbelief. Observing her demeanor, Grace couldn’t help but sneer. “He’s just jealous. He tried to use his status to pressure Dr. Olson, which caused this.”
