Scarlett certainly wouldn’t miss this opportunity. She stared at Leroy and asked, “Don’t you have anything to say?”

Leroy smiled. “Ms. Payne, are you referring to what happened in the café? I noticed your company has been completely restricted, hasn’t it?”

He had great confidence in Payne Group’s efficiency, particularly regarding the company’s reputation.

“Cedric mentioned that you were the one who provoked him first. Is it true that you’re dating Ms. Middleton?” She frowned at him, eager to hear his response. Leroy arched an eyebrow and replied icily, “This is none of your concern. The doctor’s private matters are confidential and won’t be shared with anyone.” Scarlett left the chicken soup untouched, her gaze fixed on Leroy. “I asked you to cook for me because I hold you in high regard. But you’re not the man I desire. Please remember this well and refrain from holding any false hopes. We simply come from two different worlds.”

After that, she looked out the window. “I appreciate your help. But Dr. Olson, please stop being made to Cedric.”

Leroy sneered. “I clearly overestimated you. I assumed you would grasp the truth. So, did you really believe Cedric’s words?”

She nodded, resolute in her judgment. “I know Cedric well enough. He doesn’t need to make excuses to lie to me.”

Leroy nodded. He believed Scarlett would understand, but he had overestimated her. “I’m eager to leave even without your reminder. I can’t stand Cedric at all.”

Then, he turned and left, marking his last visit to deliver food to Scarlett.

The ward grew silent again. Scarlett stared at the closed door, questioning when Leroy had developed such a bad temper.

Meanwhile, Cedric anxiously looked at Valda in the villa. “Mom, I’ve warned you before to stay calm. Payne Group’s upper management is now aware of the situation. They have the power to handle Scarlett and could easily take action against me as well.”

He was now feeling panicked, even more so than when he was deceiving Scarlett.

Valda appeared composed as she stated, “No matter what happens, Scarlett will be there to support you, before making any moves against you.”

With her under your control, Payne Group will think twice.

Valda’s confidence stemmed from Scarlett’s preference. Once Scarlett and Cedric tied the knot, Scarlett would be completely at her beck and call.

“Mom, it’s easy for you to say that, but this is Payne Group. Do you really think Scarlett will do that?” he asked.

She nodded slightly. “Go to the hospital now. Follow my instructions, and Scarlett will definitely remain by your side.”

Then, Valda leaned in close and whispered into Cedric’s ear.

Cedric’s face lit up with excitement. It was undeniably a bold move, which explained Valda’s unwavering confidence. “Mom, don’t worry. I’ll go there right away.” Afterward, he hurried to the hospital. Meanwhile, Scarlett lay in the hospital bed, unaware that Cedric had prepared a “surprise” for her.

Leroy returned to the office while Zoe and others were gossiping. Zoe stood up nervously and asked, “Mr. Olson, why are you here?”

Leroy glanced at the table, where the video of the incident was still playing on a phone. Black Group was indeed powerful enough to obtain those videos.
