Chapter 193: Chen Yu's Surprise Visit
The next day, A University buzzed with excitement. The most popular two students were competing in a drama showdown, each performing in a separate auditorium at nine o'clock. The auditorium with the largest audience at the end would win, its production chosen to represent the university at the college culture festival.
By 8:50, Xia Yangyang's auditorium held only a few scattered people—friends from her new agency.
"Kim Fei'er's handing out little gifts," Wen Xiaochu explained. "Everyone in the West Auditorium got one, so naturally, they all went there."
Xia Yangyang smirked. "Looks like I'm going to lose badly."
Wen Xiaochu added, "That's exactly her plan. She's already winning, but she wants a crushing victory."
Seeing Xia Yangyang's dejection, Wen Xiaochu worriedly asked, "Yangyang, are you okay?"
Xia Yangyang took a deep breath. "No matter what, even with only one audience member, we'll complete the performance. Let's get ready; it's about to start."
Wen Xiaochu said nothing more. Just then, a commotion erupted at the auditorium entrance. Everyone looked up to see a wave of students flooding in, screaming, "Chen Yu! Chen Yu! It's really Chen Yu!! Chen Yu, I love you!!"
Xia Yangyang was stunned. She saw the actor, wearing sunglasses and surrounded by bodyguards, slowly walking toward them. His unexpected appearance completely changed the situation. Within minutes, the auditorium was packed, the entrance platform overflowing with students desperately trying to get inside, risking a stampede.
Chen Yu sat in the middle of the front row, removed his sunglasses, and smiled charmingly. Without a word, he winked at Xia Yangyang on stage. The auditorium exploded in screams.
The actors onstage were thrilled. Wen Xiaochu squeezed Xia Yangyang's arm. "It's Chen Yu! God, it's film Emperor Chen Yu! We're actually seeing him in person!"
Xia Yangyang looked at the packed audience. "Let's begin."
As the music started, the drama commenced. The performance went smoothly, receiving a warm reception. Though Chen Yu initially stole everyone's attention, as he watched earnestly, the audience gradually became captivated by the actors on stage.
When the play ended, Chen Yu led the applause. Thunderous cheers erupted. He rose, a bouquet of roses in hand, walked onto the stage, and presented them to Xia Yangyang.
"Xiao Qian, the performance was excellent," he said.
Xia Yangyang thanked him wholeheartedly. "Thank you, Chen Yu."
The auditorium erupted again, Chen Yu's name echoing through the space. Some people tried to rush the stage, but Chen Yu's bodyguards stopped them. However, the auditorium descended into chaos, screams and shouts rising above the din as people attempted to storm the stage, threatening to overwhelm the bodyguards.
Seeing the pandemonium, Xia Yangyang grabbed Chen Yu's hand. "We need to run, or we'll be torn apart!"
