Chapter 235: Let Her Go? (2)

Gu Qichen's kiss was sudden and fierce, like a tempestuous storm. Xia Yangyang's mind went blank. She tried to resist, but he silenced her with his kiss, preventing her from speaking.

"Gu Qichen, let me go!" she yelled.

Let her go? How could he? Never in this lifetime.

His kiss grew more dominant, leaving no room for resistance. Xia Yangyang was uncomfortable; they both were. What was happening? Despite her struggles, she couldn't break free.

"Gu Qichen, do you really want me to despise you?"

"We are a married couple. This is our marital duty."

"I can accuse you of marital rape!"

"Then go ahead. I'll find you the best lawyer."

"You're utterly shameless!" Xia Yangyang was visibly infuriated.

"Shameless or not, I am your legally married husband, Xia Yangyang!" He had begun to undo her clothes.

Feeling embarrassed and helpless, Xia Yangyang eventually stopped resisting. Waiting for him to relax his guard, she curled her leg and kicked him in the abdomen.

He groaned, curling up beside her. His voice was suppressed, gritted teeth, "Xia Yangyang, do you not want children anymore?"

Scared, Xia Yangyang looked at him. She had deliberately avoided his groin; there shouldn't be a problem, right? But his pain seemed genuine. Had she made a mistake? She'd kicked with considerable force.

"I I'm sorry, I didn't mean it Are you okay?" Anxiety gnawed at her. It seemed serious.

His voice was hoarse and low, "Xia Yangyang, you are ruthless enough to attempt murdering your own husband."

"I really didn't mean it. Let's go to the hospital," she said, worried. Even in her anger, she didn't want him hurt. Guilt and regret washed over her. Why had she resisted? She'd missed him so much.

Her tone became a plea, "To the hospital, let's go now, in case something really happens."

"No, it's too embarrassing!"

"Do you think this is the time to worry about being embarrassed?" she exclaimed, frantic.

"Anyway, I'm not going!" He remained curled up.

Xia Yangyang was helpless. Recognizing the sensitive location of his injury, she knew he'd never go to a hospital. Tears welled in her eyes. "If you don't go to the hospital, what are you going to do? How bad is your injury? Let me see."

Suddenly, he stretched out, sprawling on the bed. Pain was absent from his face; he was clearly teasing her. "Fine, take a look. Be careful."
