Trevor's eyes widened in shock when he saw the message. He had called Sylvia several times, but none of his calls were answered. This sparked an unimaginable sense of bitterness and anxiety.

"I'm so stupid," he muttered. "How could I still have feelings for Sylvia after she hurt me so many times?" Veins popped out on his right hand as he gripped his phone; his eyes reddened.

He abruptly turned and left the manor. As he was about to hail a taxi, a black car pulled up. Bessie and her beautiful cousin rolled down the window, and Bessie waved. "Get in! I'll drive you to school," she said.

Later, seeing a luxurious watch online, she muttered, "Wow, that watch is beautiful! It costs nearly three hundred thousand dollars—only rich men could afford it." Sylvia believed that only men who could afford such expensive items were worthy of her. She had a particular fondness for men who wore luxury watches.

The thought that Trevor had purchased a three-hundred-thousand-dollar perfume bottle that day ignited her desire. 'I never expected him to be from a filthy-rich family. I must get him and never let him go!' she thought.
