"Trevor, you're finally here!" Sylvia's lips curved into a sweet smile at his arrival. She ran up to him, happily taking his arm. Looking at the black plastic bag and gift box in his hands, she wondered, "Is this a gift for me?"
Trevor saw the smile and thought she was still so pure and beautiful. Suddenly, his heart raced, and bitterness welled up inside him. 'Why am I so stupid to let her tempt me like this? She's never even liked me. She only cares about luxury brands, expensive makeup, and money,' he thought. He remembered the pure, innocent Sylvia he'd known, not the woman before him.
He looked at her seriously, his manner resolute. "All evidence of our relationship has disappeared," he said. "Don't ever come to me again."
Though surprised by his firmness, Sylvia remained confident; she had other methods. She picked up a medicine bottle from the table and threatened, "Since you're being so cruel, I no longer see any point in living. I'll die!" She tilted her head back, about to pour the "sleeping pills" into her mouth.
