Chapter 30

Bella had suffered greatly in the past few days. Frustrated and angry, she unleashed a barrage of insults. She still couldn't believe Dustin's claim. How could a mere extra, a nobody, possibly affect her? The thought was laughable.

"Bella, it seems you haven't fallen far enough," Dustin said coldly.

Bella's face froze, then fury erupted. "Fall? Someone like me? That will never happen!" she sneered. "That girl could never reach my level, not in a hundred years! I don't know where you get your confidence!"

"Don't worry. You'll see soon enough," Dustin replied indifferently.

Bella glanced at the long queue and sneered. "Fine! You all can wait. Of course, you might not have to wait long." With that, she strutted forward in her high heels.

Confident in her popularity and success in two hit shows, she possessed the acting skills and beauty to win. If the directing team wasn't blind, they'd choose her. A whisper, "Bella is here. It looks like we don't stand a chance" fueled her haughtiness.

Bella pushed through the crowd, heading straight to the front. The assistant director stopped her.

"What are you doing?" Bella demanded, displeased.

"Miss Wyatt, please line up," the assistant director said.

"Knowing who I am, how dare you stop me?" Bella's face darkened.

"Everyone must queue up," the assistant director said seriously.

"I'm Bella Wyatt!" Bella fumed. "Tell your directing team to come out here. You're just an assistant! What are you talking about? Do you have the authority to make any decisions?" She continued, "Even your executive director used to be humble and polite in front of me"

"That was in the past," a man said, walking out with an icy expression. "Nobody is exempt, Miss Wyatt. Queue up at the back, or leave."

Bella's face froze. Embarrassed before so many people, the mocking gazes enraged her.

"Fine! I'll queue up!" she gritted out. She couldn't give up this opportunity.

She went to the back of the line, behind Camille. "What are you looking at?" she snapped at Dustin, who had glanced at her. "Gloating over my misfortune?"

"Hmph! Even standing behind you doesn't matter. The female lead will be mine. An extra just starting out has no chance!" Dustin smiled softly. "Camille, let our celebrity, Miss Wyatt, stand at the front."

"Okay, Dustin," Camille replied, stepping to the back of the line.

Bella was stunned. "Let's see Miss Wyatt's performance," Dustin said.

Bella sneered. "Don't regret it later. If I go first, nobody else stands a chance!"

Dustin smiled, saying nothing.

Although many people were in line, the process was quick. The directing team was extremely picky, dismissing unsuitable candidates immediately. Most barely spoke a few lines before being dismissed.

Camille grew increasingly nervous. Even excellent actors were overlooked, making her feel hopeless.

"Don't overthink it. Clear your mind and act your best. Maybe you'll be the lead," Dustin said comfortingly.

Bella scoffed, but had no time to mock them; it was her turn. She straightened her outfit and confidently walked forward, her extraordinary charm and A-list presence undeniable.
