Chapter 8
Elijah, unable to bear the pain any longer, fainted. The five Wyatt sisters finally found some peace.
"Take good care of him," Della instructed. "He should feel better tomorrow. I'll contact some renowned physicians." They could no longer rely on Delia.
Elijah, unconscious, was at least quiet. The sisters watched over him throughout the night, believing the worst was over and planning to rest in the morning. However, upon suddenly waking, Elijah screamed in pain again.
Exhausted mentally and physically, the five Wyatt sisters were on the verge of collapse.
"It's Dustin's fault!" Elisa seethed. "He hurt Eli! We can't let him get away with it!"
Another sister added, "He hurt Eli, so he must know how to fix him."
Elisa, galvanized, sprang up. "Amara, I'm going back to the Langley family," she declared. "I'll make Dustin kneel, beg for forgiveness, and heal Eli."
Amara frowned. "What if he refuses?"
Elisa smirked. "He won't have a choice! With my underworld reputation, a word from me is enough to command those mafia bosses. Dustin won't dare defy me unless he wants to die!" Her ferocious expression left no doubt.
The sisters exchanged glances, considering the plan's feasibility. Elisa had offended many mafia bosses, all of whom later begged for her forgiveness—a well-known fact that inspired awe.
"Go ahead," Amara said.
Elisa left the Wyatt family villa in high spirits.
At the Langley family villa, Dustin, having just finished breakfast with the Langley family, was offered a significant role at their company by David.
"Mr. Fox, if you're bored, join Simone at the company. A high position awaits," David offered with a smile.
"Sure," Dustin replied happily.
A loud banging at the door shattered the peace. Dustin's face darkened. Could he not even enjoy a meal undisturbed?
Monique answered the door to a furiously charging Elisa. Seeing Dustin calmly eating a pancake ignited her anger.
"Eli's in agony, and you're eating peacefully?" she shrieked.
"He asked for it," Dustin replied coolly.
"You—" Elisa fumed. "What did you do? Why is Eli in such pain?"
"Don't worry, he'll be in pain for another week, then he'll be fine. He won't die," Dustin grinned.
Elisa's anger exploded. They could barely handle Elijah's screams for a single day, let alone a week.
"Dustin, I'm giving you one chance," Elisa said icily. "Come to the Wyatt family villa and apologize to Eli. Save yourself a lot of suffering."
"Hahaha!" Dustin burst into laughter. "You want me to apologize and beg for forgiveness? Are you out of your mind?"
Elisa's face contorted with rage. "How dare you?! Do you know who you're talking to? You stole Amara's million-dollar check and hurt Elijah! Do you think rules don't apply to you? Apologize to Eli!"
Dustin laughed harder. Elisa still perceived him as the insignificant Wyatt family servant.
"I don't have to explain anything. Go home and ask your precious brother," Dustin said impatiently.
"Do you intend to force my hand, Dustin?" Elisa's temper frayed.
"Are you done? Get lost!" Dustin snapped.
Elisa glared, her anger threatening to boil over. "One last chance. Apologize or not?" she demanded, forcing herself to remain calm.
"One last chance for you, too. Leave!" Dustin lost his temper.
Terrified of escalation, Simone intervened. "Miss Elisa, Miss Elisa, please calm down… let's talk this through," she pleaded, reaching for Elisa.
Elisa slapped Simone's hand away. Then, with a sharp smack, she slapped Simone across the face.
"Who do you think you are?!" Elisa shouted.
Simone, frightened, covered her face. The slap had swelled her cheek.
"How dare you hit her?!" Dustin's face turned stormy. His anger flared.
Elisa sneered. "Yes, I did. What are you going—"
Dustin struck Elisa across the face with a resounding slap, knocking her back onto the sofa. Stunned, Elisa took a moment to regain her senses.
"You you dare hit me?!" she sputtered, tears welling. No one had ever dared to strike her before.
Dustin's slap was far harder than Elisa's slap on Simone, drawing blood from Elisa's mouth. Simone was equally shocked. Dustin had previously scolded his former eldest sister on her behalf; now he'd struck another sister for her.
Elisa stood, glaring daggers at Dustin. "Dustin, I will remember this! You will pay for this with blood!"
"You slapped Simone, so I slapped you back. Fair is fair," Dustin said nonchalantly.
"She's nothing! Just a lowly b*tch!" Elisa screamed.
Dustin's fury erupted. Another crisp slap echoed. Elisa was stunned.
"Then consider this slap added to your tab," Dustin said icily.
Elisa felt her sanity slipping. Twice slapped, her pride shattered, she seethed with rage.
"You want to die?" she raged. "You and that b*tch will pay! You will pay an incredibly high price for these slaps!"
Elisa frantically dialed a number. "Hello? Bring a hundred men to the Langley family villa! I want this place flattened into rubble!"
Without waiting for a response, she threw her phone to the ground, shattering it. "You just wait!" she shrieked, pointing wildly at Dustin and Simone. Her revenge would be swift.
