Chapter 7
Delia opened her laptop and logged into a website. "This website ranks the world's top physicians. My ranking is clearly stated, but even though I'm renowned in Rivenesco, I'm only considered an intermediate-grade physician. Above me are top-grade physicians, titan-grade physicians, and at the very top, the miracle-grade Medical Sage!" She clicked on the website. "The best physicians in Lovellia are, at most, top-grade. Only a few world-famous ones reach titan-grade… and there's only one Medical Sage in the world! My teacher, Foxtin!" Delia's face lit up. She felt deeply honored and incredibly proud.
Thinking back on becoming Foxtin's student felt like a dream. As a newly graduated medical intern with limited knowledge, she'd initially found the physician's website unresponsive to her complex medical questions. Then, unexpectedly, the Medical Sage himself contacted her, offering to take her on as a student. The shock, joy, and excitement were overwhelming. She became his sole student, and her horizons broadened. Her medical skills improved dramatically, leading to her intermediate-grade ranking—a difficult achievement even for dedicated Lovellian physicians. Her medical career flourished; she became famous in Rivenesco and even earned the title "Doctor Beautiful."
"My teacher can cure any medical problem. He can definitely save Eli!" Delia said confidently. Her sisters nodded. Who could doubt the skills of the world's only Medical Sage?
Delia quickly found Foxtin's profile and sent a message. At the Langley family villa, Dustin's phone beeped just as he was about to sleep. He picked it up, a mocking smile playing on his lips. As expected, it was Delia.
Delia had studied medicine since school, developing a lifelong interest. Although dedicated and hardworking, she lacked natural talent, making it difficult to become a truly skilled physician—until Dustin's tutelage.
"[Mr. Foxtin, are you there?] 😊" Delia's playful message included a cute emoji. Dustin, however, recalled Delia and her sisters kicking him out and felt only disgust. "[What is it?]" his reply was curt.
Delia didn't notice anything unusual; her teacher was always brief. "[Mr. Foxtin, a crook injured my youngest brother. He's in excruciating pain. Can you help treat him?]” she pleaded.
"[Tell me more.]" Dustin smirked. A crook? How interesting!
"[My brother was struck in several places; the pain is immense—worse than childbirth! Please help me!]” Delia worried.
"[He must have been hit in several pain points, triggering a chain reaction that feels like being bitten by a million insects.]" Dustin replied. The Wyatt sisters grew even more worried.
"[Mr. Foxtin, please tell me how to treat him!]” Delia pleaded again.
“[It won't help. With your skill level, you can't help him. Reckless attempts could kill him.]”
Delia was distraught. Her sisters were appalled. How could Elijah's condition be so serious? And how did Dustin know such sinister methods? Amara exchanged a meaningful look with Delia, who understood.
"[Mr. Foxtin, could you please come and save my brother?]” Delia replied.
"[Why should I?]” Dustin responded coldly. The sisters froze. Delia felt lost.

In the past, Foxtin had always granted her requests. What was going on? "[Mr. Foxtin, please help! Blood is thicker than water. My brother's suffering pains me. You wouldn't want your student to be sad, would you?]” Delia tried her usual tactic, which had always worked.
"[Why should I care if a Wyatt family member lives or dies?]” Dustin was ruthless. Delia was stunned. Her sisters looked at each other, bewildered.
"[Mr. Foxtin, what's wrong?]” Delia asked.
“[Enough! Don't call me teacher anymore! You are no longer my student!]” Dustin replied indifferently. The Wyatt family villa fell silent. Delia was panicked and disbelieving. What had she done?
"Della, did you do something to anger Foxtin?" Amara asked.
"I didn't! Everything was fine yesterday! He even said he'd help me become a top-grade physician…" Delia said, dazed.
"Whatever it was, you must fix it!" Amara stressed. Foxtin was the only miracle-grade physician in the world!
Delia nodded. "[Mr. Foxtin, did I do something wrong? I apologize wholeheartedly. Please don't be angry at me, okay?]” She replied sweetly.
“[Delia Wyatt, you are no longer my student! You're not worthy of being the Medical Sage's student!]” Dustin replied.
Delia was dumbfounded. She wasn't his student? Why? Her sisters were equally stunned. What was happening with the Medical Sage? Why had he abandoned Delia?
"What are you waiting for? Keep apologizing!" Amara urged.
The Wyatt family's high standing stemmed from Delia's connection to the Medical Sage, providing countless benefits. They couldn't afford to lose this relationship.
Snapping out of her daze, Delia hurriedly sent a message admitting fault.
“[You are not connected with this user. Please add this user as a friend before trying again.]” The system notification made Delia go pale. She'd been unfriended.
"Add him again! Keep sending requests!" Amara instructed.
Delia obeyed, only to hear, "The request failed." Her legs weakened. Blocked.
"How could this be?" Tears welled in Delia's eyes. Her greatest achievement—becoming the Medical Sage's student—was gone. With Foxtin's help, she'd cured complex illnesses, earning praise and accolades, but all that was lost.
"Why is this happening? What did I do wrong?" Delia cried, losing control. She'd failed to save Elijah, and worse, lost her position as a student. How could she accept this?
"Delia, I'm in pain! Help me!" Elijah cried. Delia was emotionally wrecked, unable to focus on him.
"No… I have to find Foxtin and beg his forgiveness." Delia resolved. She wasn't willing to lose the prestige.
