Chapter 118

“Who exactly is going to kill whom?” Dustin glared at Christian murderously, killing intent flashing briefly in his eyes. No one alive would dare tell the King of Hades to crawl between their legs! Christian, a member of a small, albeit prestigious, family, was simply ignorant.

“Dustin…”

Simone, seeing the situation escalate, ran to grab Dustin’s arm, shaking her head. She knew Dustin’s temperament and strength; Christian was asking for trouble. However, Christian was her cousin. If he were harmed, they would be completely estranged from the family.

“My father… places great importance on the family’s opinion of him. He’s always wanted to be valued,” Simone pleaded. Dustin’s murderous aura finally dissipated.

“David, Simone, this is the person you brought? He attacked me! He has no respect for me!” Christian shouted from the ground. “Do you want to be cast out of the Langley family, like this piece of trash?!” David’s face darkened.

“You’re addressing your uncle by his name? Have you no manners? Did your dog take your etiquette classes instead of you? Did no one teach you any manners at all?” Dustin’s face was cold; he desperately wanted to beat Christian. If Simone hadn’t restrained him, he would have certainly taught Christian a lesson.

“Who dares to speak so?!” someone shouted from the courtyard.

A middle-aged man, resembling David, emerged.

“Dad!” Christian cried, his arrogance returning. The man was Derek Langley, Margot Langley’s eldest son.

“Derek…” “Uncle Derek.”

Simone and her family greeted him, but Derek remained aloof, glaring at Dustin before helping Christian up. His face soured.

“You haven’t returned to the main villa for over a year. You’ve certainly changed our impression of you. You show us no respect whatsoever!” Derek snapped.

“Derek, Christian insulted Dustin first. Dustin did nothing wrong!” David said sternly. Their family stood firm in Dustin’s defense.

Derek frowned. Why was his brother protecting this Wyatt family “trash”?

“We’ll talk after you meet with Mother,” he answered.

Under Christian’s resentful gaze, Dustin calmly walked with Simone and her family into the living room. All important Langley family members were gathered. Margot, an old woman with white hair, sat majestically on a single-seater couch, wielding a dragon-headed cane.

“Mother…” “Grandma…”

The family greeted Margot respectfully.

“David, your family’s certainly grown a spine after a year’s absence,” Margot slammed her cane on the floor, speaking grimly.

“Mother, if I’ve done anything wrong, please tell me,” David said seriously.

“Hmph!” Margot huffed, looking at Dustin. “He injured my precious grandson upon arrival. He certainly has a violent temper!”

“Mother, Dustin did nothing wrong. Christian insulted him first,” David said solemnly. His words enraged the rest of the Langley family.

“How dare you talk back to Grandma?! Who gave you the right?!” “Why are you defending an outsider?! Are you still part of this family?! Do you want to be disowned?!” “Apologize to Grandma or leave!”

The family aggressively criticized and shouted at David. His insistence on Dustin’s innocence further enraged them.

“Enough!” Margot snapped, pointing at Dustin. “David, I’ll ask this only once: do you intend to let him marry Simone?”
