Chapter 125
“From now on, you will have nothing to do with us. Get out of my sight!” Margot roared. “The Langley Group belongs to us. Return it immediately!”
“Fine!” David replied sharply.
The Langley Group had been teetering on bankruptcy before their involvement; they had turned its fortunes around. Now that the company was profitable again, and the main family wanted it back, they readily relinquished control. “Very well,” Margot huffed. “Let’s see how your family survives without the Langley Group!”
“We’re able-bodied adults. We won’t starve,” they retorted.
The Langley family raged, shouting for them to leave. Dustin chuckled.
“Why are you laughing, boy?” someone demanded.
The Langley family, already seething, hated Dustin most of all. Their anger intensified as they glared at him.
“I’m laughing at your stupidity!” Dustin mocked. “You may have disowned David and his family, but you’ll be begging for their return!”
His voice carried clearly to everyone present.
“Are you daydreaming?” The Langley family scoffed, their faces contorted with disdain. “That day will never come!” Margot declared icily.
“Don’t be so sure. That day will come very soon,” Dustin countered, gesturing for Simone and her family to leave.
Under the Langley family’s furious gazes, Dustin, Simone, and her family departed the Langley family’s main villa.
“David, Monique, Simone, and Camille, I’m touched by your actions. As long as I’m around, your family will be far more prosperous than you are now. You’ll eclipse the main family. I meant what I said—they’ll be begging for you to return.”
The four smiled at Dustin.
“Dustin, our decision was easy. We’ve already accepted you as family. We’ll celebrate our victories and defeats together,” David said, smiling. “Don’t worry. Even without the company, we’ll be happy. We’ll work harder, but we’ll be okay.”
“Yeah, don’t worry, Dustin. Once I’m famous, I’ll take care of all of you,” Camille declared with youthful naiveté.
“And I graduated with honors. I can get a good job anywhere. We won’t starve,” Simone added, smiling.
Chapter 125 (Continued)
Dustin was stunned. He wanted to repay them, to show they’d made the right choice. But their decision stemmed from seeing him as family…
He felt a mix of guilt, warmth, and gratitude.
“I’m sorry. I was overthinking. You’re right. We’re family,” he said, relieved. He had a family. He was no longer alone. At that moment, he made a decision. Since they were family, he wouldn’t let them suffer! He would ensure the Langley family atoned for their treatment of Simone and her family. He would make them pay for their insults. 'I will protect my family,' he vowed silently.
