Chapter 134

The Langley family, believing the police had arrived, rose to greet them. Dustin, however, did not stop the approaching person.

"Mr. Aquila!"

A shocked cry escaped the man's lips as he reached the doorway. It wasn't the police; it was Devon Aquila, the man Dustin had nearly beaten to death days earlier. Devon, accompanied by his men, stormed into the villa, furious.

A few days prior, Devon had suffered greatly there—failing to meet Simone and sustaining a broken arm. As the second son of the prominent Aquila family, he couldn't ignore this insult. After a few days' recuperation, he led his men to Rivenesco, though still recovering. Learning of Dustin's location, he immediately rushed to the Langley family's main villa.

"Mr. Aquila, you arrived just in time!" Margot exclaimed joyfully, seeing Devon and his numerous men. "Dustin is disrespectful! He killed my grandson! I've already called the police; they'll be here soon. I hope you'll ensure he doesn't escape."

"Escape? Does he think he has a chance?" Devon sneered. "The entire villa is surrounded by the Panther Gang—over a hundred men from three branches. He can't escape, even if he could fly!"

The Langley family was stunned. "The Panther Gang! Mr. Aquila, you summoned them?"

"Since the Verdant Gang's demise, the Panther Gang is the top underground force in Honora. Only a highly respected person could command all three branches!" someone marveled.

"Hmph! The Panther Gang leader is my uncle," Devon boasted. "Mobilizing them is simple."

The Langley family showered him with flattery.

"It seems Dustin will be dead before the police arrive," Margot laughed, though she still sent someone to meet the arriving officers.

"The police can handle his body!" Devon declared, waving a hand. More men flooded the living room. "Dustin, you broke my arm! Now, I'll break all yours!" he snarled, his face vicious. "And once you're dead," he added tauntingly, "I'll enjoy the Langley girl's attention. I won't leave her lonely."

Dustin's glare was icy.

"This place is too crowded. I don't like it," Dustin said indifferently.

A whooshing wind heralded the arrival of several figures in black, who instantly opened fire on the Panther Gang members. Screams filled the room, leaving Devon and the Langley family stunned. The black-clad figures efficiently slaughtered the Panther Gang, their movements too swift to track. In under a minute, the intruders were dead. Devon's astonishment was evident; the Langley family was frozen in horror.

They cursed. They had believed Dustin had only one such bodyguard, but a whole contingent had appeared, effortlessly eliminating over twenty Panther Gang members. The Langley family was terrified.
