Listen to this chapter:

"You want a head? Sure. I have two right here for you." Frost advanced, burning with murderous rage.

"Frost, calm down! You assassins risk your lives for money, don't you? Regardless of whether you completed the mission, I'll pay you sixty million!" Jaxon said urgently, pulling Elisa back. "Why are you giving him so much money? He's not getting a penny without showing us Dustin's head!" Elisa protested.

Jaxon's face darkened. He felt a surge of irritation; she was infuriatingly stupid. They were in danger, yet she remained so stubbornly arrogant.

"Money is no longer important," Frost sneered. "You said Dustin was an ordinary man, a Wyatt family outcast." His voice dripped with mockery, then shifted to regretful disbelief. "Ordinary? You sent us all to die! How could you ask us to kill someone like that?! Do you think you're invincible? How dare you?!" His face flushed crimson as his fury erupted.

Jaxon and Elisa were stunned. Jaxon had suspected Dustin wasn't as simple as he seemed, but an ace assassin like Frost, from the third-strongest assassination organization, being terrified? He sensed underlying fear, a deep-seated dread. He couldn't fathom Dustin's power.

"He's just trash. If you can't even kill him, you're no ace," Elisa snapped.

Frost's face contorted into a savage grimace. He moved, bypassing them in a blur. Splat! Blood spattered Elisa's face. She paled, fear finally eclipsing her arrogance. Jaxon's face drained of color as he screamed; both his arms fell to the ground, severed in an instant.

"I'm going to make you suffer, you bitch!" Frost seethed, his eyes fixed on Elisa.

Terrified, Elisa stumbled back, her arrogance gone. Frost approached, knife in hand, as she screamed.

Two martial artists appeared, grim-faced. "Leave, Miss Elisa!" one said.

"Frost of God's Lance, we're from the Winter family, acting on the matriarch's orders to protect Miss Elisa. Do you intend to defy one of the Seven Clans of Central Harbor?" the other shouted.

Frost's face froze, then he sneered. "The Winter family? So what? I have only one life, and I'm taking revenge today! That bitch will die!" He charged.

The Winter family martial artists knew they couldn't win. "Miss Elisa, leave! Do you want to die here?!" one yelled.

Elisa, snapping out of her stupor, fled. Frost, consumed by rage, pursued. In an instant, two more bodies lay still. He didn't pause, knife held ready, chasing Elisa.

She was not far ahead, her hair disheveled, terror etched on her face. Is there anyone who will save me? She clung to a desperate hope of rescue.
