Listen to this chapter:

Elisa stormed home, her temper flaring. "Amara, that useless Dustin didn't take anything from the Wyatt family. The Langley family took him in," she huffed.

Amara frowned. "The Langley family?"

"Yes," Elisa said. "Simone Langley. She brought gifts once, but I sent her away because you didn't want to see her."

Amara considered this. "I remember now. Their company wanted a partnership, but I ignored them. I heard they're on the brink of bankruptcy"

"Exactly!" Elisa exclaimed. "That's the same family! Their company's going bankrupt; they won't survive long. I can't believe they took that trash in! He even claimed the Wyatt family owes him! Laughable!"

Elisa's sisters reacted variously: some mocked Dustin, others showed disdain, and some remained indifferent.

"Dustin was a dog the Wyatt family kicked out. The Langleys taking him in is defiance! They don't know what's good for them!" Elisa continued, "He even threatened to make us regret it! I bet he won't survive tomorrow! Some men from the Serpentine Gang went there, and he got involved. He's in trouble!"

The sisters frowned, then laughed. Dustin's uselessness was undeniable.

"He's no longer a Wyatt," Amara said coldly. "We don't care if he lives or dies. As for the Langleys, we'll ruin them!"

Just then, her phone rang—a call from the company. "What is it?" Amara asked calmly.

"Miss Wyatt, a huge problem! The Excelsior Group canceled the contract you signed! They don't want to work with us!"

"What?!" Amara's face darkened. The Excelsior Group was a top conglomerate in Somerton. Many businesses coveted their contracts. Amara had personally negotiated, finally securing a contract after numerous rejections. It was a remarkable achievement. The Wyatt Group had just delivered samples, and the Excelsior Group had seemed pleased. Now, this.

"What's going on?!" she yelled into the phone. This order was critical.

"Miss Wyatt, we don't know" stammered the caller.

Amara hung up, throwing her phone on the table. Her face was frosty.

Delia looked wary. "Amara what's going on? With the Excelsior Group?"

Amara couldn't understand. Yesterday, the Excelsior Group had been delighted.

Bella suggested, "Let's investigate."

Amara called the Excelsior Group president, but the call failed. "He blocked me?" she couldn't believe it. She'd always been respected; this was unheard of. WhatsApp confirmed she was blocked.

Amara huffed shakily. "Find out what's happening with the Excelsior Group!" she ordered.

An update arrived: "Miss Wyatt, the Excelsior Group president is visiting the Langley family"

"What?!"

All five sisters were shocked. The Langleys—the ones who took in Dustin?

"The Langley Group is on the verge of bankruptcy. Why would the Excelsior Group be interested? The president is visiting personally!" Bella exclaimed.

Clara fumed, "Only the Wyatt Group can handle that order! The Langley Group is nothing!" Delia remained silent, equally baffled. Elisa, having just left the Langleys, was equally incredulous. Had the president lost his mind?

Amara stood, heading for the door. "Amara, where are you going?"

"To the Langley family!"

Outside the Langley villa, the Excelsior Group president, Duke Mortimer, exited his Maybach. Inside, the Langleys worried after Dustin's encounter with the Serpentine Gang. He returned safely.

"Dustin, are you alright?" the family asked, fearing for his safety.

"Don't worry. They left. The debt will be handled later," Dustin smiled. He'd help the Langleys; they'd been kind.

David and Monique were stunned. Simone smoothly changed the subject, sensing Dustin couldn't explain the truth. He gave her a grateful look; they shared an intuitive understanding.

The doorbell rang. Monique opened it to find Duke Mortimer.

"I'm Duke Mortimer, president of the Excelsior Group," he said, handing her his card.

Monique, a housewife, didn't recognize the name. David and Simone were stunned. "Isn't that the top conglomerate in Somerton?" David asked, his voice awed.

They rushed to the door. "Mr. Mortimer, please come in!"

Monique, after Dustin's reminder to offer coffee, realized the significance of their visitor.

David asked modestly, "Mr. Mortimer, why are you here?"

"I'm here to discuss a partnership with the Langley Group," Duke said, producing a contract. Simone and David's eyes widened in shock as they read it.
