Chapter 57 (+25 Bonus)

The hall fell silent. Many attendees, still in shock, stared at Dustin. Who was he? Clara's expression shifted from rage to uncertainty, then settled into a warm smile. "Everyone," she announced to the crowd, "the charity auction is about to begin! Please take your seats."

The art exhibition culminated in a highly anticipated charity auction, as Clara had previously announced. She had organized the event, inviting renowned artists to contribute their works, attracting significant media attention. Online, she was praised for her beauty and kindness, enhancing her already considerable acclaim.

However, Dustin knew the truth: Clara's kindness was a façade; her concern lay solely with her reputation. "A month ago," she said mournfully from the stage, "an earthquake devastated East Lovellia, displacing countless people. The news breaks my heart… I'm just one person, but I want to help! That's why I organized this exhibition. I secured thirteen artists' contributions, and I pledge to donate forty percent of the proceeds from this auction to East Lovellia! I've also contributed five of my own works; all proceeds from their sale will go directly to the reconstruction efforts."

Her announcement erupted in thunderous applause. Everyone lauded her kindness and selflessness. Dustin scoffed. Clara and kind? A joke!

"I now declare the charity auction open!" Clara declared.

The works of famous artists were presented, each selling at a respectable price. The wealthy attendees readily bid, eager to acquire prestigious art while supporting a worthy cause. Dustin watched silently, making no move. Meanwhile, Michael glared at him intensely, seething with resentment and plotting revenge. Dustin's complete disregard only fueled Michael's anger.

Chapter 57 (+25 Bonus) (Continued)

"The next item," Clara announced with a smile, "is a landscape I painted. The opening bid is $10,000. I hope you'll all support this piece."

Bidding commenced immediately. Many were eager to support Clara. The price quickly escalated to over a million dollars. Michael and his friends were among the most enthusiastic bidders. "Eight million!" Michael shouted. "Ten million!" "Eleven million!"

In the past, a young artist's work would never have fetched such a price. Clara's skill wasn't exceptional; her reputation far surpassed her artistic merit. Ultimately, Michael purchased the painting for twenty million dollars.

"Next, a calligraphy piece created under the guidance of the esteemed Master Calligrapher, Mr. Iverson. Please show your support!" Clara announced, having the calligraphy brought onstage. "Bidding starts at $10,000!"

Again, the bidding began, and Clara smiled as she glanced at Dustin. "Mr. Fox," she said into the microphone, "as a VIP diamond ticket holder, won't you show some support for the people of East Lovellia?"

Every eye turned to Dustin. Clara had orchestrated this. Yet, Dustin remained unfazed.
