Chapter 69

The Wyatt sisters gathered at their family villa. Amara looked much better than she had a few days prior; she seemed to have recovered from her stock market losses. "How's the company situation?" she asked, settling onto the sofa.

"Not good," Clara replied darkly. "The Zimmer family is relentlessly pushing us, and it seems they intend to take us down." Amara's face fell. She'd considered buying shares to save the company but had lost fifty million dollars, exacerbating the problem.

"How's Bella?" Amara asked, turning to her sister.

Bella appeared dazed and unresponsive.

Delia sighed. "She's not quite herself. She's okay sometimes, but any mention of that day sends her into a screaming rage. I can't help her. However, I heard a renowned physician, recently retired, has returned to Rivenesco to open a clinic. I plan to take her there."

Amara nodded and turned to Clara. "Clara, you mentioned a plan to punish Dustin. How did it go?"

Clara's face froze; she was too embarrassed to discuss the art exhibition debacle.

Elisa spoke softly, "Clara wanted those three prominent figures to banish Dustin, but they turned on her instead, expelling her from several associations. They declared her no longer their student." "What?!" Amara exclaimed, scowling. This sounded familiar. Delia had suffered a similar fate recently! Why did things always go so drastically wrong whenever Dustin was involved?

"Does Dustin have some kind of magic? Why do these unexpected events keep happening around him?" Amara's face tightened.

The other sisters remained silent. They had all attempted to take down Dustin and failed. He always seemed uninvolved, his actions appearing as unfortunate accidents.

"What's with his luck? He always avoids trouble! Damn it!" Elisa exclaimed angrily.

Amara and Clara fell silent, pondering. Was he truly that lucky? It seemed unlikely.

"The Wyatt family was once incredibly powerful, but our influence waned from prolonged inactivity," Amara said coldly. "That doesn't mean we're powerless against Dustin! The Zimmer family is walking all over us. Do they think we're easy targets?"

"Amara, we should make a comeback soon," Delia interjected.

Elisa nodded. Clara and Amara fell silent.

"Not yet," Amara said coldly. "Let's wait a little longer."

Whoosh! Something shattered the window, hurtling toward the sisters. Too slow to react, they were saved just in time. Something else deflected the incoming object—darts—to the ground. Shadow Two stood before them.

The sisters paled. Had he not intervened, they would have been hit.

"Who is it?!" Amara demanded.

A slender figure with a fierce expression appeared at the door. "I'm one of the Seven Fiends—the Hidden Fiend," he sneered, showing no fear of exposure.

Shadow Two's face changed.

"The Seven Fiends? Who are they? Are they that impressive?" Elisa asked indignantly.

"The Seven Fiends are seven incredibly powerful individuals, notorious in the underworld," Shadow Two said gravely.
