Chapter 70

“Why is one of the Seven Fiends here?” Shadow Two asked darkly.

“I heard the Wyatt family is no longer under the king’s protection. Looks like it’s true,” the Hidden Fiend said, looking around with a teasing grin. “Over the years, many powerful fighters attacked the Wyatt family, but they couldn’t get through because of the person protecting this place. Now, I’ve just walked in, and I’m still fine. Seems he really has left.”

The Hidden Fiend smiled coldly.

“What did you say? King’s protection? People have been trying to attack this place?” Delia was puzzled.

“He must be talking about one of the Shadows,” Amara whispered. “We have thieves vying for our treasure. Dad left behind the Shadows to protect us from the dark. That’s why we were safe. But Dustin shamelessly tried to claim credit for all of that, since he didn’t know about the Shadows. He doesn’t know I do, though,” Amara said mockingly.

Shadow Two was stunned. He knew the Shadows hadn’t protected the Wyatt family for years. So, who was the king who had protected them?

“Hand over the treasure Lucas Wyatt left behind!” the Hidden Fiend demanded. “Or I’ll kill you all!”

(Lucas was their father and the head of the Wyatt family.)

“You’re so full of yourself. You’ll have to win against Shadow Two first!” Amara said.

The Hidden Fiend scowled. He threw a hidden weapon and charged. Shadow Two knocked the weapon away and stepped forward to meet him.

They exchanged blows and then separated, their faces grim. The Hidden Fiend appeared to be losing.

“Are you one of the Shadows Lucas left behind?” the Hidden Fiend asked darkly. “Ha! News of the king’s departure has spread, and other powerful people are getting restless. You won’t be able to protect the Wyatt family much longer.” He turned to leave.

“Wait!” Amara called out.

The Hidden Fiend stopped.

“I don’t know what treasure you’re talking about, but my father left all his belongings to his student, Dustin Fox. If he left a treasure, it’ll be with him,” Amara said.

“Dustin Fox?” The Hidden Fiend scowled, looking closely at Amara, then left.

Chapter 70

“That was an ingenious move to shift their attention away from us, Amara!” Elisa immediately praised her.

Amara chuckled. “Dustin thinks he’s amazing, doesn’t he? He claims the Wyatt family remained safe because he was protecting us. So, he should be the one dealing with an assassin. I’m just giving him what he wants.” Amara smiled softly. “Also, spread the word that Dustin inherited Dad’s legacy, everything he owned.”

The Wyatt sisters exchanged knowing glances. Anyone wanting to trouble the Wyatt family would now go after Dustin first.

“Dustin, let’s see if you can really handle every problem that comes your way!” Amara hissed.

Shadow Two watched indifferently.

“Leave us, Shadow Two,” Amara said.

Shadow Two opened his mouth and coughed up blood. The sisters were shocked. Shadow Two had lost to the Hidden Fiend?

“This means Dustin is done for!” Elisa rejoiced.

Shadow Two was speechless. Lucas had been a wise man; why did each of his daughters seem more foolish than the last?
