Chapter 71

Night fell as Simone drove back to the Langley family villa, followed as usual by Dustin. He accompanied her everywhere, assisting with company matters. They appeared like a couple, and others treated Dustin as Simone's husband. He remained silent, letting events unfold. He liked Simone; he wouldn't refuse a relationship if it developed.

After exiting the car, as they approached the villa, Dustin abruptly stopped.

"Go ahead, Simone. I need to buy something," he said with a smile.

Simone eyed him. "Come back soon. Dinner's together."

She entered the villa. Dustin's face darkened. He quickly left, stopping under a nearby tree.

"Come out!" he snapped.

A figure emerged from the shadows, looking surprised.

"Living up to Lucas's reputation, I see," the person said with a smile. "You're quite good."

"Who are you?" Dustin asked impatiently, suspecting the Wyatt sisters.

"I am the Hidden Fiend of the Seven Fiends," the man declared proudly.

"Never heard of you," Dustin replied coldly.

The Hidden Fiend stiffened, staring icily. "You're Dustin, right? Lucas Wyatt's student. You know about the Wyatt family's secret. Hand over the treasure Lucas left you before he died, or else."

Dustin scowled. The Wyatt family possessed a valuable treasure. After his adopted father's death, many had attempted to steal it. Dustin had protected the family, eliminating all threats. None had ever revealed themselves to the Wyatt sisters. Over the years, he had killed numerous powerful fighters, including hundreds from the Four Great Organizations near the Rivenesco River before his expulsion from the Wyatt family. This deterred any further attacks, even after he ceased his protection. Yet, the treasure's allure proved too strong, finally attracting the Hidden Fiend.

"I have nothing from the Wyatt family. You have the wrong person," Dustin said coldly. Since they had disowned him, he no longer cared for their safety.

"Should I take your word for it?" The Hidden Fiend sneered, disbelieving him. "The Wyatt sisters said Lucas gave you everything. Hand it over, or I'll search your corpse."

Dustin's scowl deepened. He underestimated the Wyatt sisters' audacity. They had expelled him, accused him of theft, and even sent Elisa to search him. This filled him with disappointment. He had worked tirelessly for the Wyatt family, leaving with nothing, yet he was framed for taking everything. They want me to bear the risks for them? he thought, smirking. Their plan was clever, but it wouldn't succeed.

"I'll count to ten. Don't hand it over, and you die!" The Hidden Fiend raged at Dustin's continued silence. Dustin turned and left.

The Hidden Fiend was furious. He hadn't even begun counting, and he'd been ignored. As one of the infamous Seven Fiends, this was unprecedented.

"Die!" he roared, attacking.
