Chapter 77
Dylan examined Bella and frowned.
"Is it bad?" Delia asked worriedly.
"It's nothing major. She just needs rest. She'll be fine, except for that other getaway situation," Dylan said. "I'll write you a prescription. Get the medicine, and remember to make sure your sister takes it on time every day. Make sure the dosage is right. You cannot mess with it." Delia read the prescription.
"You really are one of the best physicians. The usual physician wouldn't dare to prescribe your medicines together. If the dosage is a little off, the patient might die. Those who would write such a prescription are either useless or as great and skilled as you are," she smiled, gazing at Dylan. He was shocked.
"You understand medicine?"
Delia smiled.
"Honestly, I'm an intermediate-grade physician. The Medical Sage was once my teacher."
Dylan's face darkened.
"Why is the Medical Sage's student coming to me for treatment? Is this a joke?" he asked coldly.
Delia sensed Dylan's animosity toward the Medical Sage. The Medical Sage's rise to fame was shrouded in mystery. He didn't cure many people, but he did cure several untreatable diseases. He also demonstrated his skills to a physician from the Divine Hall, impressing them. That physician declared his medical skills unparalleled.
From then on, the Medical Sage became famous. But his rapid rise and elusive nature led many to question his reputation. Dylan was clearly one of them.
"Please don't misunderstand, Dr. Parker. I'm no longer the Medical Sage's student. We've parted ways and have nothing to do with each other anymore," Delia said hurriedly.
"Oh?" Dylan raised an eyebrow. "Why did you part ways?"
"Our ideals clashed," Delia said seriously. "The Medical Sage cares more about his reputation than medicine. He looks down on all physicians and is arrogant. He chases fame and fortune, and I didn't like it. So I stopped studying under him, even if it meant I wouldn't stand out. I refuse to go along with his immoral ways!" she said righteously, though she had been dismissed.
Delia presented herself as a hero, slandering the Medical Sage.
Chapter 77
Dylan's face darkened.
'Well, well, well, Delia'
Taking in a backstabber like her was the greatest mistake he had made as a physician.
"Well done!" Dylan stood up. "Well said! You did well! The Medical Sage is just someone who chases after fame and fortune. Everyone says he's a miracle-grade physician, but they're all blind! But people like me, who have true skill and real results, are always ignored! This world is so unfair!"
He became increasingly agitated. "Young lady, I like your righteousness. The Medical Sage has no right to be your teacher. I need a student. Would you like to be my student?"
Delia's face lit up.
"Yes!" she exclaimed.
"Good." Dylan smiled. "Your achievements will far surpass those you made under the Medical Sage. Show the world who the better teacher is!"
Delia immediately thanked Dylan, pleasing him greatly. They continued to disparage the Medical Sage, bonding over their shared disdain.
"What a joke!" Dylan exclaimed. "People like you dare to slander the Medical Sage's name?"
