Chapter 103: Not Interested

Sparkling Gems swept the international scene with its unique design style. Every year, at major fashion weeks, the accessories paired with the models’ outfits were all from Sparkling Gems. Domestic celebrities and socialites took pride in wearing items from the brand.

Not many people knew that the renowned genius designer, S, behind Sparkling Gems was actually a high school girl who had just turned eighteen. After all, in the field of design, men dominated, and eight or nine out of ten big names were male. Even if the hobby was also for men!

Myrna, however, broke this tradition. She always felt as if there was nothing this girl in front of her couldn't do, unless she didn't want to.

“Are you still not attending this new product launch?” she suddenly asked Myrna, putting away the design drafts.

Myrna was completely uninterested: “Not participating.”

Denise regretfully said, “There will be a lot of big shots coming from Nemmington this time. Actually, if you were willing to show up…”

If Myrna had been willing to show up, it would have been nobody else’s business. Including Stephanie. She would definitely rock the whole city.

Despite everything, Myrna still had that attitude, casually raising her hand: “I don’t want to go. I’m not interested in crowded places.”

“I know, sigh, it’s just that I can’t help but ask you every time, just in case you want to go,” Denise sighed, almost laughing at herself. Even though he knew she would refuse, he couldn’t help himself each time… He always wanted her to show up and fiercely slap those who were blind.

Myrna had already delivered the items and didn’t plan to stay long. She chatted with Denise for a bit, and just as someone from the Marketing Department was knocking on the door, Myrna took the opportunity to leave first via the indoor elevator.

After leaving the Taylor Group, Myrna was not in a hurry to go back. The city center was just nearby. She inexplicably thought of Alfredo in the hospital, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. She planned to visit Erick in the hospital later when she was free, and she could also visit the little guy who was still hospitalized. Since I was going, I might as well go to the mall to look around and see if there were any children’s items. I planned to buy a small toy for him. After all, he had given up his hospital bed for her last time, and she hadn’t returned this small favor yet.

Myrna was in a decent mood, hands in her pockets as she headed towards the mall. She didn’t notice that after she left, someone followed her from behind. She had no idea who this person was, not the Luther who had been waiting in the lobby for nearly two hours without seeing Denise.

“Was it really her?!”

Luther watched the departing girl from a distance, grabbed a passing receptionist, full of curiosity, and pointing at Myrna’s retreating figure, he said, “Excuse me, do you know the girl who just left?”

Myrna usually took a special elevator, so the reception desk hadn’t seen her many times. However, her appearance and temperament were so outstanding that few people who had seen her would forget. So when the receptionist saw her back, he suddenly realized and laughed, saying, “You mean that lady? That lady is a valued guest of our Ms. Taylor; she occasionally comes to the company to find Ms. Taylor…” She said her piece and then went off to attend to her own business.

Luther was left standing there, dumbfounded, reflecting on her words. Myrna, the esteemed guest of the CEO of the Taylor Group? What a joke! He had no patience to wait any longer, made a call to Stanley, and left the Taylor Group with a heavy heart.

The city center was lined with towering skyscrapers, bustling scenes of traffic were everywhere; it was afternoon tea time, around three or four in the afternoon. There weren’t many shoppers in the mall; they were mostly either full-time housewives without jobs or privileged second-generation rich kids out to buy things and have tea with their friends.
