Chapter 160: Take Photos

The handsome man’s thin lips curled up. Already holding the necklace to her face, his voice was low and enticing: “Let me put it on for you.” His breath fanned against her ear; his broad back enveloped her, a different kind of feeling. Her heart suddenly contracted. She became nervous. Myrna instinctively wanted to dodge.

The tall man with long legs was blocking her way, his burning palm already on the back of her neck. His low, magnetic voice seemed to be right next to her ear. “Don’t move, it will be over soon.” Myrna was feeling restless. She gripped the necklace tightly with both hands. The thumping heartbeat.

Could this also be considered the category of good friends? But Calvin looked so much like a gentleman that she really couldn’t voice her doubts. She was afraid that, just like last time, she would end up overthinking again.

Fortunately, Calvin had only helped her put on the necklace in a gentlemanly manner, without any unnecessary actions, and then stepped back half a step.

He squinted at her slightly, his eyes as deep as the ocean, revealing no other thoughts. And then he told her, “Right, could I take a photo?”

Myrna disliked taking photos the most. She hadn’t taken many photos from childhood to adulthood. She had just furrowed her brow. The distinguished man had already given her an irresistible reason: “Alfi is asleep; I want to take a picture to show him tomorrow. He was really looking forward to the effect of you wearing this necklace.”

Myrna let out a sigh, her brows relaxed, and she resignedly said, “I’ll stand still; you take the picture.” Calvin’s rose-colored thin lips lifted; he leisurely took out his phone, aiming the camera at the girl who was standing there at an angle. First, he took a photo, then shifted his gaze from the phone and said to Myrna, “Mya, your expression is too stiff; can you change your pose?”

She originally didn’t know how to pose for photos… Myrna’s head was bigger than the two combined, but since she had promised, she still hoped to do well. “What position to change into?”

Calvin’s deep eyes were like the profound ocean, and also like the inscrutable sky. His tone was gentle: “Since it’s for children, how about making it a bit cuter?”

“Cuter?” Myrna, who was eighteen, heard this request for the first time. Anything she was asked to do was fine, even if it was to hack into the Melcester network. But asking her to be cute? Wasn’t that too much to ask?

Finally, she took several photos with the marionette before she was done. After taking the photos, she had no energy left to do anything else. After seeing off the guests, she didn’t even bother to turn off her computer. She simply closed the door, collapsed onto the bed, and fell asleep from exhaustion.

The next day, Myrna had nightmares all night and only arrived at school just before class started. Just got out of the car and saw the person waiting at the school gate. Luther had gone about a night without sleep; his beard was scruffy, and the air of privilege he had cultivated over the past few years had now completely turned into decadence. Seeing her, he immediately ran over and blocked her path. “Mya.” A forced smile hung on his face as he sulkily lingered behind Myrna. “You came to school, huh.”

Myrna, with a shoulder bag on, was quite impatient. “Or should I do the grocery shopping?” Luther was scolded; his face was somewhat unable to maintain composure, but he needed something from Myrna, so he had to lower his posture and carefully asked, “Do you happen to know the CEO of the Taylor Group?”

Myrna was somewhat surprised that he knew. Seeing that she didn’t directly deny it, Luther already had an idea. He quickly said, “I saw you in the Taylor Group lobby last time. I needed you to help me arrange a meal with Ms. Taylor.”

Myrna, with a cold expression, didn’t even consider it and strode forward. “No time.”
