Chapter 167

Listen to this chapter:

“After all, being a doctor was your dream and your full-time job. If it weren’t for Jessica, you probably would have only focused on improving your medical skills. I didn’t expect you to get involved in business as well. From now on, Francesca will attend these meetings for you. Today is the first time, you just need to make an appearance.”

Jaden’s name at Hurricane Media was Jasper. He had just been outside answering a call, and when he saw the time was about right, he pushed open the door to remind the two inside.

“It’s almost time to go.”

“Coming.”

After Collin left, Chris squatted down and picked up a strand of Collin’s hair from the floor. It had just accidentally fallen out, and Chris had seen it drop, so there was no chance of a mix-up.

In such a high-end club, the floors were spotless. Not only was there no dust, but not even stray hair could be seen. As soon as one group left, another would come in to clean again.

He had already received confirmation from Roy that Mandy was indeed adopted.

During the meeting, Jessica and Chris didn’t have much to say and sat together chatting about other trivial matters.

“Did you get the hair?” asked Jessica.

Chris nodded and patted his pocket, “I saw it fall right in front of me.”

“Why is Collin dealing with hair loss?”

Chris laughed at Jessica’s words. The mental image of Collin going bald made him chuckle.

“There probably isn’t a genetic predisposition for hair loss in Collin’s family. This strand was accidentally pulled out. The root still had a fresh follicle and looked very healthy.”

Jessica asked, “If Mandy really is Collin’s sister, this story is so dramatic. Collin searched for his sister for so many years, with no news domestically or abroad, and it was only because of the case involving the Hall family that she was found. I’m worried Collin might turn against us.”

Everything in the world happened by coincidence or fate, and Collin was no exception.

The meeting lasted three hours. During the break, everyone came out to have a drink. Those interested would find a private room to chat for follow-up developments.

This joint meeting room was designed to provide opportunities for various industries and also served as a place to network.

FN was definitely among them.

The Hall family needed no introduction, both Luke and Michael were present.

Seeing these two, it was clear the person Roy arrested was useless – probably just a runner who didn’t know the real mastermind’s identity and was only getting paid to do the job.

They found a small private room to have a drink and rest.

“If I’d known it would be this boring, I wouldn’t have come,” Collin complained. “Overseas joint meetings at least have blondes and blue-eyed beauties, but here it’s all old men.”

Jaden glanced at him. “There are some. Didn’t you see those wearing the nice dresses at the entrance?”

“They clearly have sugar daddies.” Collin observed sharply. “Didn’t you notice their eyes were locked on someone? To get into this kind of club as hostesses, they definitely have a sugar daddy.”

Jaden said, “With your wealth, you could probably poach them all. Want me to find one for you?”

“No thanks.”

Their way of interacting was somewhat amusing. Nina found it strange. “You two have been together so many years, and you talk about things like this so openly?”

“That’s right. Men are simpler than women. Why should I be jealous just because he looks at other women? I don’t have time for that,” Jaden said calmly.

Jessica said, “Collin only admires women, he has no real interest in them.”
