No one had ever said Jessica and Chris were a good match before. Maybe it was because people noticed Jessica’s attitude toward Chris, or perhaps they knew there was someone else in her heart. Saying they were a match right in front of Jessica would definitely make her unhappy.

But recently, Chris and Jessica had often appeared together in the trending news.

Jordan still didn’t change the way she addressed Jessica, still calling her “Mommy.” Chris didn’t want to make things difficult for a child and just stood beside Jessica, smiling to say goodbye. But Jordan rolled her eyes at him.

The gifts on the floor were very high-end. Jessica glanced at them and kicked them to the door. She said to Chris, “In a few days Francesca is going to send gifts to Wind Pharmaceuticals. Let Francesca take these with her. I really don’t want to eat anything Michael gives me.”

Chris hugged Jessica and returned to the living room. Both of them rarely took breaks from work, but today they chose the most popular film to watch together.

“Did you see the look Jordan and Michael gave each other just now?” Jessica stuffed a strawberry into her mouth, glancing at Chris out of the corner of her eye. “That was the first time Michael chose not to hide his thoughts. He wants to kill you.”

Even Jessica could see it clearly, let alone Chris.

He wasn’t afraid at all. “If he’s really got the guts, let him try. By the way, I heard you gave something to Helen the other day? Speaking of which, Helen is Jordan’s biological mother. Why isn’t Jordan close to her at all?”

“I heard from Shannon that Helen was in the final stage of her pregnancy when the Jills family was about to go bankrupt. Michael’s relationship with Helen had already fallen apart. Actually, I can understand Michael’s views on Helen.”
