Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Four: You Will Need to Wait.

“I should check out starter before they hatch,” I whisper, tense and frustrated. “I am going to go for a cold shower.”

“Chare on my lawn, lip ln shop frum lepting boo long, er our food will get cold.”

“I want… Please put on more clothes, one won’t…”

“Te, 10,” I reply with.

“Wipe the tick off your face,”

“It isn’t my lauh, have no well-control.”

I dip under his arm and walk away. He slaps my ass as I pass by. He disappears to take his cold shower. He isn’t the sly one who needs a cold shower.

I take the spring rolls from the oven. They’re too hot to hold between my thighs. I quickly pull on a pair of joggers. Another five minutes. I put them back in. I splash some cold water on my face. I head to the bedroom, ignoring the throbbing. It’ll be less distracting for him if I have more clothes on.

I return to the kitchen, organize the sauces to accompany them and take the spring rolls out. I keep them on one plate; there’s no point in using two. I take them, along with the sauces, to the living room. I go back through to get a couple of glasses and a bottle of wine.

I settle down on the sofa and wait for Myatt, who appears a couple of minutes later. He has gray sweatpants and a loose-fitting tee to match. His wet hair is swept back. I swallow hard and lick my lips. Now, who is making it hard? He knows how that look on him makes me weak.

Wyatt smirks. He did it on purpose. I shake my head and tip him elf. He laughs loudly and joins me on the sofa to eat.

“These look good, angel.”

“Hopefully, they taste good. It is my first time making them.”

He kisses my cheek. “I am sure they will be fine.”

He has confidence in me. He picks one up, dipping it into one of the sauces. I watch him to watch his reaction. He could say it’s good but doesn’t like it. If I watch him, I can read his real expression. He takes a bite.

Wyatt smiles. “Delicious.”

“Like he is telling the truth,” I smile brightly. He offers me a bite of the half he has left. I take a bite. I have to admit, they are good. I really should try cooking dishes I am not familiar with.

He slips his arm around my shoulder, and I rest my head on his shoulder. He kisses the top of my head. We happily eat in comfortable silence.

“Are you doing okay, angel, after this afternoon?”

I glance up at him. “Yes, I am fine.”

I won’t tell him about my rant to Angelina. He wouldn’t be happy if I were discussing our personal business with her.

“I pesemine,” I reply, reaching up to touch his lips.

He smiles brightly at me. “Okay. Good.”

We finish our starters, and I lead through to start our main course. Wyatt follows me through.

“Ground here stayed in the living room, you know,” I laugh.

“I would have gotten lonely.”

“I am a few Tent away from you. I an kur you would hire bees (ne? I sicher…”

I shake my head and focus on the cooking. Wyatt takes a wet and watches his eyes burning into me, distracting…
