Chapter 14

She walked over as usual and sat next to Wallace. โ€œMorning, Wallace.โ€

Wallace nodded, looking at her lovingly. โ€œDoes school start today?โ€

Alarieka nodded. โ€œYes.โ€

Wallace said, โ€œYou and Clarissa are classmates, and you both have exam week coming up. Help each other and get into a good university.โ€

Clarissa slowly rolled her eyes but didnโ€™t dare argue in front of Wallace.

Wallace suddenly said, โ€œEven if you canโ€™t get into a good university, it doesnโ€™t matter. We can afford to send you abroad to study.โ€

Alarieka agreed vaguely.

Unfortunately, in the past, when Wallace found out that she was pregnant with Kieranโ€™s child, he forbade her from going to school.

Not to mention studying abroad, she couldnโ€™t even handle a normal exam week.

Alarieka was enjoying her breakfast when she heard a door open upstairs.

Curious to see what was going on, she looked up.

There, at the bedroom door, Kieran was carefully helping Roschelle down the stairs.

They were both still in yesterdayโ€™s clothes.

Roschelle looked really weak and needed help. Kieran was being super careful.

Alarieka quickly looked away and met Clarissaโ€™s mocking gaze.

She raised an eyebrow and smiled at Clarissa, who froze.

In a flash, Kieran had Roschelle seated at the dining table right across from Alarieka.

Eager to tease, Clarissa looked between them and asked, โ€œKieran, Rose, what did you two do last night? Did you make up? I didnโ€™t see you come out all night.โ€

Tamika turned pale when she saw them coming out of the room together.

Roschelleโ€™s face was actually a bit pale. After hearing Clarissaโ€™s words, she blushed and didnโ€™t dare to look up.

โ€œNo, Rissa, donโ€™t talk nonsense.โ€

Clarissa still wanted to find out more. โ€œKieran, tell me. What did you do last night?โ€

Kieran gave her a faint look, his voice hoarse and imposing. โ€œStop asking. Focus on your breakfast.โ€

Hearing this, Clarissa still had a smile on her face. โ€œThere must be something going on. Otherwise, why wouldnโ€™t you tell me?โ€

Roschelleโ€™s face turned even redder, and her head was almost buried in the table.

Wallace didnโ€™t want to get involved in their business. He didnโ€™t ask further.

Alarieka was eating quietly, not knowing what had offended Kieran.

Kieran put down his fork and said calmly, โ€œIโ€™ll drive you to school later.โ€

Clarissa laughed right away. โ€œGreat.โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t mean you. Glenn will take you,โ€ Kieran said.

Clarissa nearly dropped her fork. โ€œThen who are you taking to school?โ€

Alarieka sipped her cereal. โ€œCan I refuse?โ€ she asked.

โ€œNo way,โ€ Kieran replied.

The Argentโ€™s villa was halfway up a mountain, far from the bus stop. Alarieka had no choice but to rely on Glenn, the driver.

If Kieran insisted on driving her, she couldnโ€™t say no.

As soon as she got into Kieranโ€™s car, Alarieka felt uneasy.

She sat next to him, clutching her backpack protectively in front of her.

Kieran wore gold-rimmed glasses, scanning company documents on a tablet. The blue glow from the screen softly lit his face, highlighting his sharp features.

He sat quietly, focused on the documents.

Alarieka wished heโ€™d stay silent the whole ride.

But then, Kieran took off his glasses, shut the tablet, and spoke in a cold, clear voice, โ€œYou said I was disgusting?โ€

Alarieka was shocked. She forced herself to stay calm and said, โ€œNo, you heard wrong.โ€

She never expected that Kieran would still remember what happened last night and her words.

โ€œDidnโ€™t he mistake me for Roschelle?โ€ she wondered.

Suddenly, Kieran reached out, grabbed her waist, and despite her refusal, forcefully pulled her onto his lap.
