Chapter 30

Roschelle looked at her and suddenly laughed, โ€œWhat do I know? That you were a high school student skipping school and getting a room with a boy?โ€

Clarissa suddenly looked up and glared at her: โ€œYou didnโ€™t know how to respect yourself, so whatโ€™s wrong if I exposed you?โ€

โ€œItโ€™s your own fault for being cheap. You got caught, so how do you have the nerve to come here and freak out?โ€

Alaricka sneered, โ€œI told you, just based on the views and likes on your post, I could totally sue you for defamation. You donโ€™t know whatโ€™s going on, youโ€™re rude, even your own mother wouldnโ€™t want you.โ€

Alaricka didnโ€™t hesitate and slapped Clarissa again.

Pop!

But this slap didnโ€™t land on Clarissaโ€™s face; it landed on Roschelleโ€™s arm.

Roschelle frowned, lowered her head, and called out softly. When she looked up, her eyes were already filled with tears, looking pitiful.

โ€œMs. Huston, why did you hit Clarissa?โ€

A hint of a smile flashed in Clarissaโ€™s eyes, then she got really mad: โ€œAlaricka, I could take it when you hit me, but why did you hit Rose? What did she do wrong?โ€

Alaricka frowned, โ€œI wasnโ€™t hittingโ€ฆโ€

โ€œAlaricka.โ€

Kieranโ€™s voice was low and full of anger.

Alarickaโ€™s heart skipped a beat, and she turned around.

Kieran stood behind her, his narrow black eyes full of sharpness and anger, his sword-like brows slightly furrowed.

She opened her mouth but didnโ€™t say anything yet, and behind her, Roschelle shouted, sounding either wronged or like she was trying hard not to cry.

โ€œKier. Iโ€ฆ I was kind of in painโ€ฆโ€

Kieranโ€™s eyes darkened, and he shot Alaricka a sharp look, then strode over to Roschelle.

Alaricka stiffly clenched her hand, her nails almost digging into her palm.

She saw Kieran carefully lift Roschelleโ€™s slender, fair arm with his palm, his eyes looking closely at the red finger marks on her pale skin.

โ€œDid it hurt?โ€

It was Alarickaโ€™s usual thing, and the gentle tone Kieran only used with Roschelle.

Roschelle sniffed, shifted her feet, and snuggled herself into Kieranโ€™s arms.

She shook her head, her voice soft and low: โ€œIf youโ€™re here, it doesnโ€™t hurt anymore.โ€

Kieranโ€™s eyebrows moved a little, his hand lightly grabbed a spot on Roschelleโ€™s arm where there wasnโ€™t a red mark, his brows furrowed, and he looked right into Roschelleโ€™s eyes.

He muttered, โ€œStupid.โ€

Roschelle rested her head on Kieranโ€™s shoulder: โ€œIโ€™m not stupid.โ€

โ€œI knew you cared about me, and that made me really happy.โ€

Roschelle looked up, her eyes soft and gentle as she looked at Kieran.

Kieran grabbed Roschelleโ€™s wrist and pulled her into the hospital room, making her sit on the couch.

โ€œYou sit down. Iโ€™ll handle it.โ€

When he said this, Kieranโ€™s tone got tough.

Roschelle grabbed Kieranโ€™s hand, her fingers resting in Kieranโ€™s palm, and she looked up a little.

โ€œDonโ€™t be too mad, I think Ms. Huston didnโ€™t do it on purpose either.โ€

Kieran put her hand back on the armrest of the couch: โ€œI had my own reasons.โ€

Clarissa couldnโ€™t help but laugh. โ€œAlaricka, if you dared to hit Rose, thatโ€™s like slapping Kieran in the face. Youโ€™re dead. No one can help you.โ€

Alaricka looked at Kieran striding over.

Unavoidable, Alaricka felt scared.

When Kieran got closer, Alaricka took a few steps back.

The next second, Kieran grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the hospital room.

Chapter 30

Kieran took big steps, and Alaricka almost couldnโ€™t keep up with Kieran.

She slapped Kieranโ€™s hand: โ€œLet go of me, let go of me!โ€

Kieran dragged her, pulled her to a corner of the hospital, and threw her against the wall.

Kieran didnโ€™t hold back his strength. If Alaricka hadnโ€™t quickly put her hand behind her head, the back of her head wouldโ€™ve slammed hard into the wall.

Alaricka opened her eyes, and Kieran was already grabbing her chin, lifting her face up.

Kieranโ€™s eyes were sharp and deep, and his voice was full of suppressed anger: โ€œAlaricka, you still didnโ€™t learn to behave, did you? Now you even know how to hit people?โ€

โ€œShouldnโ€™t Clarissa have been hit?โ€

Alaricka frowned and scoffed, โ€œWhy should I be good? Theyโ€™re all about to step on my head, am I supposed to pretend I donโ€™t see anything?โ€

โ€œI knew you liked Roschelle, and I also knew Clarissa was your sister. So what? Did I have to give in all the time and let them do whatever they wanted?โ€

โ€œClarissa got someone to beat me up and assault me, and she posted stuff online to smear me. Sheโ€™s not that smart and doesnโ€™t have the ability to do all this, so who was behind her giving all these ideas?โ€
