Chapter 34
โMr. Holter, no matter what, you couldnโt treat Alaricka like that,โ Wallace said, walking over, his cloudy eyes looking at Holter seriously and silently. โHolter, go to the study and reflect on your mistakes by yourself.โ
Holterโs fists clenched and then loosened. He pointed at Alaricka, โGrandpa, I had my reasons for doing this. She slapped Clarissa in the hospital. I was just standing up for Clarissa.โ
Wallaceโs cloudy eyes looked at Alaricka without much emotion, then he said to Holter, โGo, face the wall and think about what you did.โ
Holter gritted his teeth, clenched his fists tightly, and turned away.
Wallace walked over slowly. Tamika was a bit nervous: โSir Argent, Alaricka just made a mistake for a moment, please donโt blame her.โ
โAlaricka Huston.โ
Ever since Alaricka and Wallace first met, Wallace had always called her Alaricka. This was the first time he used her full name.
Alaricka couldnโt help but feel a jolt.
Wallaceโs voice sounded old, but still had that air of authority: โYou should just move out. You staying here always causes a bunch of trouble. It gives me a headache.โ
Tamika was shocked: โSir Argent, you canโt do this!โ
Before, it was Alaricka who asked to move out herself, and now it was Wallace who told her to leave. Even though it was the same result, Alaricka still wasnโt satisfied.
The ones who were wrong were Clarissa and Holter. Holter just got a light "think about what you did" punishment, but she had to be kicked out.
She wanted to explain, โIt was Clarissa who smeared me online, so Iโโ
Suddenly, she looked at Wallaceโs eyes and expression, which hadnโt changed at all from beginning to end, and slowly closed her mouth.
Because it wasnโt necessary anymore.
Wallace knew everything Clarissa did to her, but still chose to side with Clarissa, told her to shut up, and never even said a harsh word to Clarissa. Let alone this thing.
They were the real family, she and Tamika were outsiders.
Alaricka just breathed steadily and said calmly, โI got it. Iโll move out today.โ
Wallace just nodded and left without saying another word.
Tamika stomped her feet and beat her chest behind her: โAlaricka, what are you doing? Donโt you know how to say a few nice words? Sir Argent was soft-hearted, he would always keep you, how could he ever kick you out?โ
Alaricka noticed the sympathy and schadenfreude in the villa servantsโ eyes. โSo, you also knew what happened recently?โ
Tamika suddenly shut up.
Alaricka turned around, looking at Tamika with cold eyes: โSo why didnโt you stand up for me, not even say a single comforting word?โ
Tamika opened her mouth, but couldnโt say a word.
Alaricka suddenly laughed, โMom, itโs okay, I forgive you. You were just scared of the Argent familyโs power and didnโt dare stand up for me. I get it.โ
Tamika finally smiled, looking relaxed: โAs long as you get it, thatโs good. Anyway, you just got a little hurt, so itโs fine to do what Sir Argent said.โ
Alaricka said, โSo if next, these people want my life, can you still stop them? Or, can you get justice for me?โ
The smile on Tamikaโs face froze right away.
Alaricka turned around and started walking inside: โSo, if you didnโt want me to die, you shouldโve moved out with me.โ
She walked back to the room to pack her things, moving fast. She was eager to leave.
Tamika didnโt know if she finally figured it out or just had no choice and went back to her room to pack, but either way, being able to leave was a good thing.
At this point, almost all the servants in the villa already knew they were leaving. They kept passing by here from time to time, thinking they were being careful as they looked over.
Alaricka ignored it and looked down to pack her things.
She turned her head and saw a servant standing behind her, with a kind of mocking smile on his face.
โMs. Huston, Sir Argent told me to come help you pack your things. Sir Argent said you should hurry up and not waste time.โ
Alaricka didnโt answer, and the servant just walked over on their own, roughly pulled the clothes out of the closet, and stuffed them messily into the suitcase.
Alaricka kicked right away: โGet out!โ
Alaricka always knew the servants in the villa looked down on her and Tamika. It was just that they thought she and Tamika were servants too, so why did they get to suddenly become important? They were jealous, so they badmouthed.
The servantโs face turned dark: โAlaricka, what are you pretending for? Sir Argent already kicked you out, and you still think youโre the young lady?โ
