Alaricka’s voice went low: “I said, get out.”

“If you weren’t convinced, just go complain to Sir Argent. I’ll be right here waiting for you.”

The servant glared at her angrily and stormed off.

Alaricka just locked the door, completely shutting out everyone else, and focused on cleaning up.

She didn’t have much luggage, mostly her clothes, and she packed up quickly.

When she and Tamika left, nobody came out to see them off. Only the driver arranged by Wallace was waiting at the door.

The villa was a bit far from downtown, and Alaricka didn’t insist on not using Wallace’s driver and car, but just got in the car straightforwardly.

On the way, Alaricka saw Kieran’s car pass by hers and head off in the opposite direction.

She turned her gaze back with no reaction and turned to look at the night view on the other side.

The Argent’s villa was built in the downtown villa area. It was spacious and quiet, and she only saw a few people around.

The closer the car got to the gate of the villa area, the more at ease she felt.

In the previous life, the Argent’s villa carried way too many painful memories for her.

Back then, when she gave birth to Nina, it wasn’t in a hospital, but in the Argent’s villa.

It was pretty crazy and also dangerous.

But the Argent family, including Kieran, felt that her being pregnant with Kieran’s child was something really shameful and couldn’t be seen in the light, and outsiders shouldn’t know about it.

So, except for finding out about the pregnancy at the hospital, all the checkups and even the delivery were done at the Argent’s villa with specialists Kieran brought in. He didn’t let her go out at all with her big belly.

Back then, even though she was already an adult, she was still a student. Because she was pregnant, she couldn’t go to school, and the Argent family didn’t get her a tutor either. She had to study everything by herself.

She finally made it to exam week and wanted to ask Kieran to let her out for exam week.

But the person who came to see her was Roschelle, who was also pregnant.

Roschelle smiled gently, had someone take her exam card and ID on the exam day, and had someone lock the doors and windows.

She couldn’t get away no matter how she tried.

She just totally missed it during exam week.

Alaricka closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, there was only coldness left in her eyes.

About ten months later, her baby was about to be born.

Alaricka clenched her fists, her nails almost digging into her soft palms.

But it was Tamika who spotted Kieran’s car and suddenly widened her eyes, full of hope: “Alaricka, go beg Mr. Argent, go beg him, maybe he’ll let us stay.”

Alaricka curled her lips sarcastically, “He knew all about Clarissa getting someone to mess with me, but he still took Clarissa’s side, didn’t he? You think he would help us? Keep dreaming.”

Tamika’s face suddenly turned pale. “How could that be? Mr. Argent looked like such a decent guy. How could he do something like that?”

Alaricka said coldly, “How is that not possible?”

Her eyes darkened. “Kieran was just that ruthless. He could even hurt his own daughter.”

Tamika was totally confused and really shocked: “Mr. Argent had a daughter? How come I never heard about that?”

Alaricka looked expressionless: “Yeah, in the middle of the night, didn’t you see a little girl lying on his back?”

Tamika leaned in, carefully watching Alaricka’s face: “Alaricka, what are you talking about? Why does it sound so creepy?”

Alaricka said, “It’s nothing. I was just talking nonsense.”

Alaricka’s rented place was pretty far from the villa area, and it took almost an hour to get there.

After parking, Alaricka habitually said to the driver, “Glenn, can you help me with the luggage?”

Glenn didn’t move, just glanced at her in the rearview mirror and said, “You’re not Ms. Huston anymore, so move it yourself.”

After the Argent family kicked her and Tamika out, these old folks from the Argent family just went with the flow and never treated her or Tamika nicely.

Tamika got upset and wanted to argue, but Alaricka stopped her and just said, “It’s late, we still have to unpack after moving the luggage, let’s hurry up.”

Tamika packed her things with a long face. When she saw the place Alaricka rented, she complained even more: “Why did you rent in such an old neighborhood? Is there an elevator? The floor is too high, I can’t move my stuff up there.”
