Chapter 85

With the baby in her belly, it was already a sure thing that she and Kieran would get married.

She had absolutely no intention of getting involved with Kieran, and she didnโ€™t want to go back to the Argentโ€™s villa either.

Roschelle did this, but it really wasnโ€™t necessary.

And doing this only showed her own uncertainty and doubt, which was laughable.

Alarieka smelled the chicken soup, slowly turned her head, and saw the buttery chicken soup in the thermos. Her first reaction was to want to throw up.

She really liked Giselleโ€™s cooking, and Giselleโ€™s chicken soup always suited her taste.

This bowl of chicken soup didnโ€™t look light at all, and even before tasting it, Alarieka could already feel how uncomfortable it would be in her stomach.

Besides, she drank so much last night that she had a stomach bleed, so she could only eat some light food.

Roschelleโ€™s little thoughts couldnโ€™t be hidden at all.

Alarieka said quietly, โ€œMs. Whitaker should really keep an eye on her family and stop letting their dog run around biting people.โ€

Roschelleโ€™s eyes suddenly turned red, and her voice was low and shaky, โ€œIt was my family who did something wrong. Iโ€™m sorry. I hope you wonโ€™t be mad.โ€

Alaricka hadnโ€™t said anything yet, and Roschelle suddenly covered her mouth and gagged.

Kieranโ€™s brows drew together a little, and there was a flash of pain in his eyes. He strode forward and put his hand on Roschelleโ€™s shoulder.

โ€œNot feeling well?โ€

Roschelle covered her mouth, nodded with tears in her eyes, and said, โ€œYeah.โ€

She leaned in close to Kieranโ€™s ear, her earlobes a little red, and whispered, โ€œIt was like this for the first three months, you didnโ€™t need to worry.โ€

Roschelleโ€™s voice wasnโ€™t too loud or too soft, just right for Alarieka to hear.

Alarieka lowered her eyelids and said calmly, โ€œSince youโ€™re not feeling well, then go back. I wonโ€™t keep you here.โ€

Kieranโ€™s eyes darkened, and there was a heavy pressure in his voice: โ€œAlarieka, is this your attitude?โ€

Alarieka looked up, stubbornly stared at Kieran, and her mouth was sarcastic.

โ€œWhat kind of attitude did you want from me? I was a patient who drank so much I got a stomach bleed, and I still had to take care of the feelings of the perpetratorโ€™s family?โ€

Kieran said in a low voice, โ€œWhat Calvin did had nothing to do with her.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t make things hard for Rose.โ€

Alaricka took a few deep breaths, wanted to say something, but just couldnโ€™t.

She wanted to ask Kieran, why did Calvin dare to act like a boss in that place, because he had a cousin Roschelle who wanted to be your wife.

Almost all of Calvinโ€™s confidence in what he did came from Roschelle.

Kieran, did you really not know?

Roschelle leaned in Kieranโ€™s arms, her teary eyes looking so pitiful.

โ€œAlarieka, Iโ€™m really sorry, I was pregnant, the baby was really fussy, I didnโ€™t have that much time to take good care of him.โ€

Kieranโ€™s hand on Roschelleโ€™s shoulder tightened a bit, like he was giving Roschelle some confidence and support.

Alarieka closed her eyes and calmed herself down.

Opened my eyes again.

โ€œYou guys go, let me rest alone.โ€

Roschelle really did leave, but Kieran hadnโ€™t left yet.

There were only her and Kieran left in the ward.

Alarieka didnโ€™t hold back and just lay down, turning her back to Kieran.

Kieranโ€™s voice was deep: โ€œAlarieka, donโ€™t take your temper out on Rose.โ€

Alarieka yawned, โ€œYou got it wrong, I was just stating the facts, when did I lose my temper?โ€

It was quiet behind her for a while.

Suddenly, a big hand pressed down on her shoulder and forced her body back.

The next second, Alarickaโ€™s eyes met Kieranโ€™s dark eyes, really deep and intense.

Kieran kept his body really low, and their breaths were almost tangled together.

Alarickaโ€™s pupils shrank. She put both hands on Kieranโ€™s shoulders and pushed him away with all her strength.

โ€œKieran, are you crazy?!โ€

Kieran had smooth, sharp lines on his face, his eyes looked heavy, and his thin lips curled into a cold, slight smile.

Alariekaโ€™s already pale little face got even whiter, and under the light coming in from the window, her skin almost looked see-through. Her eyes were big, clear, and bright, showing both stubbornness and fragility. Her lips were full but dry and colorless. She looked flustered but was trying hard to stay calm.

Kieran looked over, and it seemed like a hint of a smile flashed in his eyes.

He grabbed her chin and said in a low voice, โ€œAlarieka, you still didnโ€™t learn your lesson.โ€

Alarieka gritted her teeth.

Good, good, good!

You little rascal!

Kieran pretty much put his whole body on top, and Alarieka couldnโ€™t move at all.
