Chapter 95

Roschelle seemed unable to keep up her polite smile, her face stiff as she looked at Alaricka, who was still lost in the piano music.

How was that possible? How did Alarieka get so good at piano? Evenโ€ฆ even higher than hers.

At that moment, Roschelle really hated Alarieka. Everyone was praising her piano skills. What was Alarieka, anyway? How could she even be compared to her? What made Alariekaโ€™s piano skills better than hers?

So disgusting.

But just a driverโ€™s daughter dared to step on her head. Bitch.

When the song ended, Alarieka, as expected, saw all kinds of wonderful expressions on everyoneโ€™s faces. She stood up and smiled at Roschelle, saying, โ€œMs. Whitaker, did you like the gift I gave you?โ€

Roschelle pinched her own palm, gritting her teeth with hate inside, but she still had to put on a gentle smile and say things she didnโ€™t mean. โ€œYou played really well, I liked it a lot, thank you.โ€

Alarieka nodded, and there was a faint smile in her eyes, but they were full of coldness. โ€œMs. Whitaker liked it, thatโ€™s good.โ€ She lifted her foot, wanting to leave.

Roschelle grabbed her wrist: โ€œMs. Huston, stay. Thereโ€™s another party tonight, and I wanted to invite you.โ€ Roschelleโ€™s smile was meaningful. I invited you to watch me and Kier being happy.

Alarieka took a few steps back, pulled her hand out of Roschelleโ€™s, and said softly, โ€œNo, I still have to go back and study for exams. I really donโ€™t have time.โ€

โ€œAnd,โ€ Alarieka looked at Kieran, and seemed to really mean what she said, โ€œI donโ€™t want to bother you and Mr. Argent, didnโ€™t want to be a third wheel.โ€

Wallace, who had been silent just now, walked over and looked at her with those cloudy eyes, his voice old but full of pressure. โ€œYou have to stay. I didnโ€™t let you go.โ€

Alarieka gave a half-smile, โ€œWhat, has the Argentโ€™s villa turned into a pirate ship? You can get on but canโ€™t get off?โ€

Clarissa complained, โ€œGrandpa, why let her stay? Sheโ€™s not part of the Argent family.โ€

Wallace didnโ€™t say a word, stared at Alarieka with cloudy eyes for a few seconds, then turned and left. The butler behind him stepped forward, expressionless, and said in a businesslike, commanding tone, โ€œMs. Huston, please go back to your room and wait.โ€

Alaricka looked at the Argentโ€™s villa servants who were gathering around, and her face turned cold. When she turned and left, some of the ladies still didnโ€™t forget to compliment Roschelle.

โ€œIf Alarieka had even one percent of Ms. Whitakerโ€™s character, she wouldnโ€™t have ended up like this. Everyone knew the Argent family were the kindest people. Anyone who got kicked out by Sir Argent definitely wasnโ€™t a good person.โ€

Alarieka thought coldly. She really wasnโ€™t a good person.

Alarieka stayed in the room for two or three hours, ate the food the Argentโ€™s villa servants brought over, and didnโ€™t step out of the room again. Although today really was frustrating, she still got what she wanted. An hour ago, Kieran had already transferred that five million to her account. Looking at the balance in the bank card, Alarieka felt a lot less gloomy.

Itโ€™s just that Alarieka never thought it would actually be Kieran who came to call her downstairs. When she pushed the door open, there was a moment when she was stunned. Alarieka looked into Kieranโ€™s dark eyes for a second, then quickly looked away, stepped around him, and walked off without saying anything.

Kieranโ€™s deep voice came from behind her: โ€œYou still didnโ€™t wear a dress.โ€

Roschelle suddenly walked over from the other side. Turns out she had changed into a prettier dress, which made her look slim, curvy, and really attractive. Roschelle held Kieranโ€™s arm and said considerately, โ€œKier, itโ€™s okay, maybe Ms. Huston had her own concerns.โ€

Alarieka clapped her hands and said, โ€œWasnโ€™t I good like this? I didnโ€™t steal your thunder.โ€

Kieranโ€™s eyes suddenly got darker, and his handsome face looked a bit scary under the bright lights, his dark eyes heavy. โ€œYou never learn your lesson.โ€

It was this sentence again. Alarieka turned around, rolled her eyes, and walked away. She found a quiet corner to stand in, holding the dessert the Argentโ€™s villa prepared for the guests, and kept eating, her mouth never stopping for a second.

โ€œAlarieka, Alarieka!โ€

When Alarieka heard this sneaky little sound, her mouth was still stuffed with food, her cheeks puffed out, eyes wide open, and she was trying hard to chew and swallow. She looked up, squinting into the harsh sunlight in the living room at the waiter who bent down toward her, and tried to make out his face.

โ€œAre youโ€ฆโ€

She knew the Argent family had hired some waiters from outside for this party.
