Chapter 95
Roschelle seemed unable to keep up her polite smile, her face stiff as she looked at Alaricka, who was still lost in the piano music.
How was that possible? How did Alarieka get so good at piano? Evenโฆ even higher than hers.
At that moment, Roschelle really hated Alarieka. Everyone was praising her piano skills. What was Alarieka, anyway? How could she even be compared to her? What made Alariekaโs piano skills better than hers?
So disgusting.
But just a driverโs daughter dared to step on her head. Bitch.
When the song ended, Alarieka, as expected, saw all kinds of wonderful expressions on everyoneโs faces. She stood up and smiled at Roschelle, saying, โMs. Whitaker, did you like the gift I gave you?โ
Roschelle pinched her own palm, gritting her teeth with hate inside, but she still had to put on a gentle smile and say things she didnโt mean. โYou played really well, I liked it a lot, thank you.โ
Alarieka nodded, and there was a faint smile in her eyes, but they were full of coldness. โMs. Whitaker liked it, thatโs good.โ She lifted her foot, wanting to leave.
Roschelle grabbed her wrist: โMs. Huston, stay. Thereโs another party tonight, and I wanted to invite you.โ Roschelleโs smile was meaningful. I invited you to watch me and Kier being happy.
Alarieka took a few steps back, pulled her hand out of Roschelleโs, and said softly, โNo, I still have to go back and study for exams. I really donโt have time.โ
โAnd,โ Alarieka looked at Kieran, and seemed to really mean what she said, โI donโt want to bother you and Mr. Argent, didnโt want to be a third wheel.โ
Wallace, who had been silent just now, walked over and looked at her with those cloudy eyes, his voice old but full of pressure. โYou have to stay. I didnโt let you go.โ
Alarieka gave a half-smile, โWhat, has the Argentโs villa turned into a pirate ship? You can get on but canโt get off?โ
Clarissa complained, โGrandpa, why let her stay? Sheโs not part of the Argent family.โ
Wallace didnโt say a word, stared at Alarieka with cloudy eyes for a few seconds, then turned and left. The butler behind him stepped forward, expressionless, and said in a businesslike, commanding tone, โMs. Huston, please go back to your room and wait.โ
Alaricka looked at the Argentโs villa servants who were gathering around, and her face turned cold. When she turned and left, some of the ladies still didnโt forget to compliment Roschelle.
โIf Alarieka had even one percent of Ms. Whitakerโs character, she wouldnโt have ended up like this. Everyone knew the Argent family were the kindest people. Anyone who got kicked out by Sir Argent definitely wasnโt a good person.โ
Alarieka thought coldly. She really wasnโt a good person.
Alarieka stayed in the room for two or three hours, ate the food the Argentโs villa servants brought over, and didnโt step out of the room again. Although today really was frustrating, she still got what she wanted. An hour ago, Kieran had already transferred that five million to her account. Looking at the balance in the bank card, Alarieka felt a lot less gloomy.
Itโs just that Alarieka never thought it would actually be Kieran who came to call her downstairs. When she pushed the door open, there was a moment when she was stunned. Alarieka looked into Kieranโs dark eyes for a second, then quickly looked away, stepped around him, and walked off without saying anything.
Kieranโs deep voice came from behind her: โYou still didnโt wear a dress.โ
Roschelle suddenly walked over from the other side. Turns out she had changed into a prettier dress, which made her look slim, curvy, and really attractive. Roschelle held Kieranโs arm and said considerately, โKier, itโs okay, maybe Ms. Huston had her own concerns.โ
Alarieka clapped her hands and said, โWasnโt I good like this? I didnโt steal your thunder.โ
Kieranโs eyes suddenly got darker, and his handsome face looked a bit scary under the bright lights, his dark eyes heavy. โYou never learn your lesson.โ
It was this sentence again. Alarieka turned around, rolled her eyes, and walked away. She found a quiet corner to stand in, holding the dessert the Argentโs villa prepared for the guests, and kept eating, her mouth never stopping for a second.
โAlarieka, Alarieka!โ
When Alarieka heard this sneaky little sound, her mouth was still stuffed with food, her cheeks puffed out, eyes wide open, and she was trying hard to chew and swallow. She looked up, squinting into the harsh sunlight in the living room at the waiter who bent down toward her, and tried to make out his face.
โAre youโฆโ
She knew the Argent family had hired some waiters from outside for this party.
