With Caleb supervising everything, no one would dare disrupt the wedding.

“Just kidding,” Drake said, heading toward the exit. Then he paused and added, “Wait a minute.”

“Boss, is there anything else?”

“Go prepare a wedding gift.”

“But we’re not invited.”

Drake kicked him in the backside and spluttered, “Just because they didn’t invite me, I can’t go? This is my turf. If I’m unhappy, their wedding won’t happen.”

“You’re right, boss.”

“Get the gift ready.”

“Got it.”

“Hold on.”

“Boss, what’s up?”

“It’s still early. I’ll go with you.”

Drake got into the car, and Kale followed.

After the plane landed, Erica took Debra straight to a hotel. In the suite, the makeup artist and stylist were already waiting.

Erica pushed Debra into the makeup chair. “Finally, you’re becoming my cousin-in-law. This is so exciting.”

“What about Marion? Is he getting ready too?”

“Probably. Randy is overseeing everything. You two will shine today.”

Just then, a staff member walked in and handed Debra a gift box. “Miss, this is from Mr. Lowe.”

“Drake? How does he know we’re here?” Erica asked in surprise.

She didn’t have a good opinion of Drake. For years, he’d been at odds with Marion. His company was involved in shady dealings, and he had drugged Debra before.

“This is his territory,” Debra replied. “Nothing here can escape his eyes.”

She opened the box, and a figurine popped out, sticking its tongue out and making a face at her. Erica jumped in shock, and Debra frowned.

“What the hell is this?” Erica sulked. “Is he trying to provoke us? I’ll tell Caleb and let him teach that wretch a lesson.”

“Look closer,” Debra said, handing the figurine to her.

Only then did Erica notice a small inscription on its tongue. It wrote: Happy Wedding.

She took the figurine and saw a large diamond necklace on its pedestal. “Wow, this is some serious money. I heard this was sold at auction for 120 million dollars. Quite valuable.”

“Really?”

“It was worn by a queen. It’s a piece of treasure.”

“Wow.”

“Drake is giving you such an expensive gift. I suspect something dangerous is hidden in it. Let me check.”

Erica examined the necklace carefully but couldn’t find anything unusual. She stroked her chin, puzzled. “Wait a second. Could it be that Drake has changed?”
