Chapter 1094
Drake, sitting at the main table, had a mouthful of wine and frowned. โWhatโs the relationship between Michael and Debra? Why is he acting like her family?โ
โProbably just a bossโsubordinate relationship,โ Kale replied.
Drake put his glass down. โWell, that makes sense. The Frazier family has no one left. Canโt exactly pull Ralph out of prison.โ
โYouโre right, boss.โ
The music in the venue was so loud it felt like the sound waves were going to shatter their eardrums.
โWho designed this wedding?โ
โIโm not sure.โ
Drake took a deep breath. If he were not bound by etiquette, he would have turned around and left by now.
โMr. Houston, do you take Ms. Frazier to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love her for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others, and being faithful to her for as long as you both shall live?โ
โI do.โ
โMs. Frazier, do you take Mr. Houston to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love him for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others, and being faithful to him for as long as you both shall live?โ
โI do.โ
At their answers, thunderous applause erupted from the audience.
Just then, a golden retriever with a cute drool bib came running toward Debra. Though it wasnโt on a leash, Ori was well-behaved. He had a ring box in his mouth and gently placed it into Marionโs hands. Then he stuck out his tongue happily.
Chapter 1894
It had only been a few days since they last saw each other, and Ori had grown quickly.
Debra bent down, unable to hold back her tears. She stroked Oriโs head and said, โOri, youโre such a good boy.โ
Ori nuzzled her hand, his gaze fixed on the ring box in Marionโs hands.
Marion opened the box, revealing a sparkling diamond ring. The square-cut diamond was beautifully polished, with a soft pink hue. He then slid the ring onto Debraโs finger.
Now Debra didnโt just have the sapphire engagement ring. She also had this pink wedding ring, which was a symbol of their marriage.
Many people didnโt really understand what a diamond ring meant to a woman. Most men saw diamonds as just stones, with no inherent value or meaning. But when love was poured into that stone, it gained its own worth.
Marion lifted Debraโs veil and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
In the audience, Caleb couldnโt help but tear up. Drake glanced at him, not understanding why he was crying. With Calebโs health, living another 20 years wouldnโt be a problem. He would live to see his great-grandson.
โLetโs give this couple a round of applause,โ the emcee declared.
Caleb turned to look at the roses nearby. All the roses at the wedding site were from his garden. Decades ago, he and his wife had planted them together. Now, many years later, these flowers were witnessing their grandsonโs wedding.
โSheryl, Marion is married now. Did you see it?โ he muttered with emotion.
