Chapter 1095

โ€œHurry! Whereโ€™s the dress for the toast?โ€ Erica rushed to find the next set of clothes for Debra.

Just as they reached the changing room, a staff member handed Erica a white dress. Without looking closely, Erica was about to pass it to Debra. The staff member quickly intervened, โ€œMiss Mathis. Thatโ€™s not for the bride. Itโ€™s for you.โ€

โ€œFor me? Do bridesmaids need to change clothes too?โ€ Erica asked, surprised.

Liza hurried over. โ€œWhat about me?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m sorry, Miss Eaton, this one is for Miss Mathis,โ€ the staff member explained.

Liza grumbled, โ€œWeโ€™re both bridesmaids. Why does Erica get to change and I donโ€™t? I donโ€™t care. I want to change too.โ€

The staff member looked troubled. If she couldnโ€™t complete the task Randy gave her, her career was over.

โ€œHere, you can change into this one,โ€ Debra chimed in, handing Liza a white gown.

The staff member was relieved, admiring Debraโ€™s foresight.

Debra added, โ€œCome with me. This one is a bit tricky to put on.โ€

โ€œI usually donโ€™t share changing rooms,โ€ Liza said. โ€œBut since itโ€™s your wedding day, Iโ€™ll make an exception.โ€

With that, she followed Debra into the changing room. Erica was eager to follow them, but the staff member stopped her. โ€œMiss Mathis, the changing room is small. You can change here.โ€

Erica reluctantly went to another changing room with her dress.

In the changing room, Liza fussed, โ€œWait. Why is my dress different from Ericaโ€™s?โ€ They were wearing the same thing earlier.

Debra leaned in and whispered something in her ear. Only then did Liza nod knowingly. Outside in the hall, Randy was downing one glass of wine after another.

Garland was puzzled. โ€œBro, this is not your wedding. Why are you drinking so much? You should save your stomach for Marion.โ€

There were over a hundred tables in the grand hall, and the guests couldnโ€™t be counted. Just toasting them alone would take hours.

โ€œIโ€™m okay,โ€ Randy mumbled, his face already flushed from the alcohol.

โ€œWow! Youโ€™re still not slurring. How much can you drink?โ€ Garland asked.

โ€œI donโ€™t know. Why isnโ€™t it hitting me now?โ€ Randy wondered. He had been expecting the alcohol to boost his courage.

Frustrated, he turned to a nearby staff member. โ€œGet me a bottle of whiskey and mix it with soda. Thatโ€™ll hit me faster.โ€

โ€œSir, youโ€™ll get drunk like that,โ€ the staff member warned.

โ€œThatโ€™s the point,โ€ Randy insisted. Otherwise, even with his extroverted personality, he wouldnโ€™t dare confess his feelings to Erica in public. If Erica rejected him, heโ€™d be all over the news tomorrow, right alongside Marion and Debraโ€™s wedding.

Just the thought of her rejection filled him with dread. He tried to recall how Marion had confessed his feelings. โ€˜Wasnโ€™t he nervous at all?โ€™ Randy wondered.
