Chapter 1115
โI think itโs fine,โ Debra said. โI donโt believe heโd do anything to Marion.โ It was better to have Drake pay the bills than stay in the hospital.
She turned to the bodyguard and said, โOkay. Tell your boss to send a car to pick us up.โ
โThe carโs already waiting outside,โ replied the man. โHe had prepared it, knowing youโd agree.โ
โHow thoughtful he is!โ
โYeah.โ
Drake had suffered too many losses when dealing with Debra. He had drawn lessons from those failures.
Debra helped Marion out of bed. The moment they stepped out of the room, Drakeโs subordinates hurried over to assist. They smiled flatteringly at Debra and said, โWeโre here to help.โ
But Marion shot them a cold look before they could come near him. They smiled awkwardly and quickly pulled their hands back.
Debra sighed and continued helping Marion out of the room.
โWhy refuse free labor?โ
โI donโt like others touching me.โ
โAlright, you donโt like others touching you. How about I touch you?โ
โOnly you can touch me.โ
His serious look amused her.

From the windows of his study, Drake looked down at the courtyard.
โHave they arrived yet? Why is this taking so long?โ
โBoss, the people we sent are just getting there. Itโs not going to be that fast.โ
Just then, the sound of a car engine came from downstairs. Soon enough, Debra and Marion stepped out of the car. Drake quickly sat back in his chair. His action confused Kale.
โBoss, they have arrived.โ
โSo what? Should I go down and welcome them? Who do they think they are?โ
Kale didnโt know what to say. Just a minute ago, someone had been standing by the window, waiting and watching.
Downstairs, Lara was cleaning the guest room. Seeing Debra and Marion enter, she quickly approached them. โMr. and Mrs. Houston, the guest rooms are ready. Please follow me.โ
Debra nodded, helping Marion upstairs. Lara pointed to two guest rooms opposite each other. โThose are your rooms. Please rest early.โ
โWait. Why do we need two rooms?โ Debra asked.
โWell, it was Mr. Loweโs arrangement. He said Mr. Houston was injured and needed rest. Itโs not suitable for you to share a room,โ Lara explained.
โItโs fine. We prefer to share the room,โ Debra said, turning to Marion. โRight, honey?โ
โYeah.โ Marion nodded.
Debra turned back to Lara and said, โNo need to tell Mr. Lowe. Weโre tired and need to rest now.โ
With that, she helped Marion into the room. Lara was upset, unsure of how to report this to Drake. It was perfectly normal for a couple to sleep in the same room, but Drake insisted on preparing two rooms. She didnโt know what he was thinking.
