Chapter 1117

At the Buchan Group Headquarters, Theda stood in front of a large shipping container, her hand resting on her chin. “What’s inside?”

“We’re not sure. The airline just delivered it this morning. They said it was shipped from Orkgate,” the assistant replied.

“Orkgate?” Theda hesitated. “Open it.”

The assistant stepped forward and opened the container. As soon as the contents were revealed, she freaked out, “Ma’am, it’s Robert!”

Theda rushed over to check on him. Inside the container, Robert lay unconscious, his eyes tightly shut. His face was pale, drained of color.

“Robert!” Theda called out, patting his face. Then she noticed the blood starting to seep through the wound on his abdomen.

She cried out, “Call a doctor!” The assistant rushed out to fetch help. Meanwhile, Theda contacted the front desk.

“Find out who sent this.”

“It’s Debra Houston.”

The news brought Theda a sense of foreboding. For the past few days, no one knew where Robert had been. She had searched everywhere and never imagined that he would go to Orkgate to find Debra and Marion.

Back in her office, Theda glanced at Robert and frowned. It was her decision to give up on the shares. Robert shouldn’t have recklessly gone to cause trouble for them.

Sad to see him injured and unconscious, she went over to his side and muttered, “I’ve decided to give up on the shares. Why did you go to Orkgate? Taking over the Nichols Group might not be a good thing, you know.”

Late that night, Debra received a call from Ben.

“Madam, the Buchan Group is collapsing now. Their advertising and endorsement resources have been severely reduced. I followed your instructions and pulled them out in time.”

“There’s no need to pull out just yet.”

“Huh?”

Ben was confused. Just a few days ago, Debra had said not to fight with the Buchan Group.

“Stick to the original plan and press on. Within six months, I want the Buchan Group gone from Seamar City.”

“Uh…”

“Is there a problem?”

“Well, Theda is backed by two families and well connected. Yes, we can bring her down, but it will cost a lot of money and effort.”

“Whatever it takes. I want her gone.”

Ben wondered how Theda had offended Debra. Debra had always been lenient, even with business rivals. She usually turned enemies into allies. The only exception was Melody Nichols.

The McKinney Group had very few enemies left in Seamar City.

“Just do as I say,” Debra commanded. “I didn’t want to fight with her, but she saw it as my weakness. In the next few days, let’s show her who rules Seamar City.”

“Yes, Madam,” replied Ben.
