Chapter 115
Debra stared at Andrew. Despite his poor health, he managed the Potter family so well, a truly daunting feat.
โSir, weโve brought her over,โ a bodyguard announced, leading a seductive woman forward. Debra watched from the sidelines, pretending to sip her drink, anticipating some drama. The woman blushed coyly, her eyes hinting at seduction. Debra recalled seeing this woman downstairs earlier; she had been trying to get close to Jordan but had been rejected.
โMr. Andrew Potter, did you summon me for something?โ The womanโs voice was low and captivating. Debra couldnโt help but sneak a few glances. The woman was practically clinging to Andrew, who remained composed with a cold smile.
โWhat are you doing? Let go of me!โ
The womanโs arms were tightly held, and she was pinned to the ground. Her earlier allure was gone.
โTell the person behind you,โ Andrew said, his voice devoid of warmth, โif they think they can gather the Potter familyโs secrets through women, theyโre mistaken.โ He paused, sneering deviously, โForget it! My men will inform them.โ
The woman, who had been struggling, turned pale. With a gesture from Andrew, the bodyguard seized her by the hair and threw her off. A scream echoed, causing Debraโs heart to tremble. Even if the woman didnโt die, she would be paralyzed. Andrew was truly ruthless. Debra realized it took unconventional measures to command such a large family. This explained why people in these circles quaked at the mention of Andrew. He was inscrutable.
โMs. Frazier, had enough of the show?โ Andrew turned his wheelchair toward Debra, catching her gaze. Debra instinctively looked away, caught red-handed in her curiosity.
โMr. Andrew Potter, about that womanโฆโ
โJust a high-class plaything,โ Andrew said casually, as if he had disposed of garbage, not a person. He continued, a hint of amusement in his tone, โIโve heard my brother mention you several times. Seems you two are quite close.โ
Debraโs heart skipped a beat. She hadnโt detected any smile in Andrewโs eyes. She had approached Jordan initially because of his status and prospects. But even Jordan hadnโt been fooled, let alone Andrew. Thinking back, Andrewโs timing in dealing with that woman was clearly a warning. Despite her racing heart, Debra managed to keep a calm facade. โWeโre just classmates and not that close.โ
Andrew chuckled and said, โItโs windy up here. Jordan is downstairs. You two can catch up.โ
