Chapter 298
โLet go!โ
Debra tried to push Juan away, but his grip was like a vise. She couldnโt break free, no matter how hard she tried. Her eyes flashed with defiance.
โDo you think this will make me love you? All it does is make me hate you more.โ
โAs long as youโre with me, I donโt care whether you love me or hate me.โ
Juanโs gaze bore into her, filled with a deep, almost desperate affection. It was a far cry from his image in her past life.
But Debra knew better. She hadnโt forgotten what he had done to her and how he had killed her. Her feelings for him were long gone.
โI donโt want to be with you. Even if you use every trick in the book against the Frazier family, I will never stay by your side.โ
She felt his fingers dig into her wrist. Now Juanโs voice held suppressed anger. โDebra, donโt force my hand.โ
A bitter laugh escaped her lips. โWhen did the great Mr. Nichols start using these kinds of tactics on women? Do you know what you look like right now? Youโre like a humble suitor, debasing yourself with kidnapping. All I feel when I look at you is disgust.โ
His words were merely echoes of his past cruelty. She remembered the sting of his words and the disgust in his eyes after a night of intimacy. Her words struck him like a physical blow.
โWhen did the esteemed Miss Frazier learn such dirty tricks? How did you become so low? Using drugs like that? All I see in you now is disgust.โ
Now, she threw those words back at him, unchanged and unyielding. Juanโs face darkened; no one had ever insulted him like that.
โYouโre my wife. Is it wrong for me to love you? You want a divorce, but I donโt agree.โ
Chapter 299
His hands tore at her clothes, his lips seeking hers. Debra suddenly burst into laughter. Juan paused, his brow furrowing.
โWhat are you laughing at?โ
โWhatโs the point of forcing a woman who doesnโt love you to submit? Even if you force me tonight, I wonโt change my mind about divorcing you. You should give up.โ
Her eyes were void of affection. There was only coldness.
Juanโs restraint shattered, his control snapping like a taut wire. He was a wild beast now, driven by primal instinct and desperation.
โYouโre my wife. Why shouldnโt I have you? After tonight, I have ways to keep you by my side. Debra, youโre mine and mine only.โ
He tore at her skirt, his touch igniting a fire within him. He forced her legs apart, his breath ragged and wild. But just as he leaned in, the door to the room burst open, the sudden light from the hallway flooding the dim space.
With a swift, powerful motion, someone sent Juan crashing to the ground. Juan wiped the blood from his mouth, looking up at Marion with coldness.
โMarion?โ
