Chapter 316

โ€œOkay.โ€

Ben placed a basin of cold water and two towels beside Marion. With practiced efficiency, Marion soaked the towels, wrung them out, and placed one gently on Debraโ€™s forehead. He then carefully adjusted the blanket around her.

โ€œWhen will the doctor arrive?โ€

โ€œIn about ten minutes.โ€

โ€œGet a thermometer, some fever reducers, and a box of painkillers.โ€ Marion looked at Debra, who was in agony, and added, โ€œSheโ€™s in a lot of pain.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m on it,โ€ Ben acknowledged, swiftly exiting the room.

Marion tenderly wiped Debraโ€™s face. He couldnโ€™t imagine her discomfort, but seeing her like this pained him deeply.

โ€œChildโ€ฆโ€ Debra mumbled in her sleep.

In her dream, she was trapped in that operating room, surrounded by blood. In a white dress, she desperately banged on the door, screaming for help. โ€œSave the child, Juan!โ€

Suddenly, the door swung open, revealing Juan. His face was dark with anger, his eyes cold and cruel. He reached out and grabbed her by the neck, his voice filled with malice. โ€œYou donโ€™t deserve to have my child. You should die.โ€

โ€œChild!โ€ Debra jolted awake and felt a stinging pain in her arm.

She looked around, disoriented, her gaze landing on the doctor administering an IV.

โ€œItโ€™s just a fever, nothing serious,โ€ said the doctor.

โ€œNothing serious?โ€ Marionโ€™s voice was like ice.

He glanced at the doctor, who immediately broke into a nervous sweat. The following text is unintelligible and has been omitted.

He waited until Debraโ€™s eyes fluttered closed before slowly leaving the room.

Meanwhile, Juanโ€™s men dumped Stanley inside the dark, decrepit building of an abandoned factory. Stanley was bound and unable to move.
