Chapter 351

Andrew glanced at the bodyguard, who immediately stepped in front of Debra. His voice was firm yet respectful. โ€œMs. Frazier, please wait outside.โ€

โ€œOkay,โ€ Debra nodded, a hint of concern in her eyes as she glanced at Andrew.

Once outside, she turned to the bodyguard and asked, โ€œIs his asthma very serious?โ€

โ€œAsthma?โ€

โ€œYes, wasnโ€™t he having an asthma attack just now?โ€

โ€œMr. Andrew Potter often coughs up blood and sometimes has trouble breathing, but he never has asthma.โ€

โ€œNot asthma?โ€ Debra paused, recalling Andrewโ€™s earlier hesitation. โ€œIf he doesnโ€™t have asthma, what would happen if he took asthma medication?โ€

โ€œWhat?โ€

The bodyguard looked at her, not understanding the implications of her question. Debraโ€™s gaze returned to Andrew, who was patiently answering the doctorโ€™s questions.

Once the doctor finished his examination, Debra stepped back into the room. โ€œMr. Andrew Potter, if you donโ€™t have asthma, why did you take that medicine?โ€

โ€œWho told you that?โ€

Debraโ€™s gaze flickered to the bodyguard, who immediately lowered his head.

Andrew explained with a faint smile, โ€œI had mild asthma when I was little, but itโ€™s gone now.โ€

Debraโ€™s brows furrowed. โ€œBut you shouldnโ€™t take your medication randomly. What did the doctor say?โ€

The bodyguard, finally understanding the gravity of the situation, looked at Andrew with worry. โ€œSir, you really shouldnโ€™t take medicine carelessly.โ€

Andrew waved a dismissive hand. โ€œItโ€™s not a big deal. Iโ€™ve taken a lot of medicine. Taking one more or one less wonโ€™t make a difference.โ€

Debra felt a pang of guilt. She shouldnโ€™t have intervened.

โ€œSir, Iโ€™ll go get the doctor to check again.โ€

โ€œNo need,โ€ Andrew said calmly. โ€œMs. Frazier must be tired. Let her rest. We should leave.โ€

โ€œYes, sir,โ€ the bodyguard replied, wheeling Andrew towards the door.

Debra looked at his frail figure, feeling even more guilty. She hoped the wrong medication wouldnโ€™t significantly affect Andrewโ€™s health.

As night fell, a maid delivered dinner to Debraโ€™s room. The dishes were all tailored to Debraโ€™s preferences, a thoughtful gesture that didnโ€™t go unnoticed.

Debra asked the maid, โ€œWhere is Mr. Andrew Potter?โ€

The maid replied, โ€œHe should be busy right now. Ms. Frazier, do you need something?โ€

โ€œStill working at this hour?โ€

โ€œHe has a lot of work every day, often working more than twelve hours. But today he has informed everyone that if you want to see him, we should notify him immediately.โ€

โ€œThen I wonโ€™t disturb his work. I donโ€™t have anything urgent.โ€

โ€œAlright, Ms. Frazier. If you need anything, just ring the bell.โ€

โ€œOkay.โ€

Once the maid was gone, Debra looked at the table full of food, but her mind was preoccupied with the situation earlier. A sense of uncertainty gnawed at her.

At the police station, Pedro stood with a sore back, his expression weary as he addressed Juan. โ€œMr. Nichols, we really canโ€™t let you in. Itโ€™s against our regulations.โ€

Juan, sitting in a chair across from him, threatened, โ€œMr. Hardy, do you not want to keep your job?โ€

Pedro shook his head, his voice firm despite the fear in his eyes. โ€œI really canโ€™t defy the regulations. The authorities have ordered that Ms. Frazier cannot appear right now.โ€
