Chapter 375
Debra chimed in. โMarian gave you a lot of honey?โ
โYeah,โ he only replied. Evica swiftly stepped on his foot, silencing his sentence. Handy grunted and corrected himself. โWell, itโs nothing. Martens has plenty of money; we justโฆ he hasnโt finished handling it yet.โ
Exea elbowed him and muttered, โWhat do you mean he hasnโt finished handlingโฆ?โ Randy clammed up. Erica sat down next to Debra, her voice softening. โThatโs just man-to-man stuff. Donโt worry about it. Iโm sure heโll give you everything he has to win you over.โ
Debra blushed. โWhat are you talking about?โ
โEt, itโs just a metaphor,โ Erica chuckled, hugging her. โAnything, youโre the best woman in my mind.โ
Debra fell silent, her mind wandering. She never wanted a fortune. After so many betrayals and schemes in her past and present lives, she only hoped to find her destined partner and live a peaceful life together. Without betrayal, conspiracy, or deceit, they would simply live an ordinary life.
As night fell, the club was bathed in dim lights and shadows. In a private room, Edgar, dressed in a slightly open black shirt, swirled a glass of whiskey. His deep features were accentuated by the roomโs soft lighting, and a light smile played on his lips.
โMr. Nichols,โ Edgar began, raising an eyebrow, โMarionโs men visited me during the day, and now youโre here. Ms. Frazier is truly exceptional to attract two big shots like you.โ
Juan, sitting opposite Edgar, responded coldly, โI donโt care what Martonโs people told you, but Debra is my wife. There are consequences for hurting her.โ
The door burst open, and a group of black-clad bodyguards stormed in, wielding stun sticks. Edgar stared at Juan, who calmly placed his drink on the table and said, โMarion isnโt the only person who keeps thugs.โ
โMr. Nichols, you are full of surprises,โ Edgar responded, glancing at the bodyguards. โIโm just here to find my fiancรฉe, but since you have a wife and have caused Jade so much pain, Iโll settle that score with you.โ
โBring it on. Iโm always ready. But before that, I need to settle accounts with you for hurting Debra,โ Juan said, unperturbed.
Just as the bodyguards advanced, Edgarโs men rushed into the room.
Edgar snorted, โDo you think I came alone?โ
Juan remained undeterred. โSo what? None of you will leave today.โ
The standoff quickly escalated into a fierce fight. The room was instantly thrown into chaos. Edgarโs eyes grew colder. โIt seems you donโt take me seriously.โ
Juan sneered, โYouโre wrong. The entire Odor family is nothing to me.โ
Edgarโs eyes narrowed, his grip tightening on his glass. Juan turned to Joe and ordered, โBring the person who hurt Debra earlier today.โ
