Chapter 611
The bodyguards wisely retreated, seeing Juanโs cold expression. Debra finally relaxed. Juan stepped closer, his hand brushing lightly against her forehead. โYouโre burning up. What happened?โ
โWhy donโt you ask your dear aunt? She stirred up quite the storm here.โ
The house was in disarray, and Debra felt helpless about the disturbance. โIโll take care of it.โ
โI know. I wasnโt planning to get involved.โ
She tried to stand up, but the moment she rose, a wave of dizziness hit her. In that haze, she thought she heard someone calling out to her. Juan rushed forward and caught her just before she collapsed, but the next second, she was lifted into another set of arms.
โNo need to trouble yourself, Mr. Nichols. Iโve got a girlfriend.โ
Marionโs voice was steady as he cradled Debra close, not even sparing Juan a glance.
โStop!โ
Juan blocked Marionโs path. His gaze lingered on the unconscious Debra, now safely held by Marion. With a mocking smile, he said, โYour girlfriend? Is this how you protect her? By letting her get bullied while you stand by and do nothing?โ
โSheโll never be bullied by anyone,โ Marion retorted. โAnd if Iโm not mistaken, the ones causing her trouble were from your family.โ
Juan clenched his jaw, left with nothing to say.
Outside, Randy cleared his throat. โUh, look, everyoneโs just trying to help out here. Mr. Nichols, sheโs sick right now. Our place is a bit more comfortable, and we have a doctor on standby. Marionโs only thinking about whatโs best for Debra. You might as well stay and clean up this mess.โ
He gestured to the house, which had been thoroughly trashed. If they didnโt start cleaning soon, no one would be able to live here anymore. Juan frowned but eventually relented. โFine. Take care of her.โ
Marion said matter-of-factly, โIโll take care of my girlfriend.โ His possessive tone left a bad taste in Juanโs mouth. Even though he knew it was safer for Debra to be with Marion, the thought didnโt sit well with him. Then again, with Melody and Violet already causing trouble, more was bound to come, and at least Marion could protect her.
Outside, Marion placed Debra into the backseat of his car, his hand brushing over her fevered forehead. โSheโs burning up, almost 102 degrees Fahrenheit,โ he said.

โWhat was Juan even doing?โ Randy grumbled. โThey shouldโve been on that show together. Seriously, what was Andrew thinking?โ
โJust drive,โ Marion said, shrugging off his jacket and draping it over Debra. Noticing how pale she looked, he added, โCall William. Tell him to get ready with some fever medicine. Also, have the kitchen make something light for when she wakes up.โ
โGot it. Anything else?โ
โShut up and drive.โ
โRight.โ
The car sped through the streets, and before long, they arrived at Andrewโs apartment. Marion didnโt waste a second, carrying Debra inside. The servants had already prepared a comfortable guest room, and Marion laid her down on the bed. He looked around, his frustration growing. โWhere is William? Why isnโt he here yet?โ
