Chapter 612
โChill, man. Here I am,โ said a blonde, trotting up with a medical kit in hand. He looked to be in his late twenties, his appearance sharp and professional. Yet when he spoke, a thick accent tumbled out, totally out of place with his handsome looks.
โHurry up! If something happens to her, Marion will demolish your hospital,โ Randy urged.
โThen please, tell him to do it. Iโve had enough of this job. Demolish the hospital already,โ William Weaver quipped.
Marion chimed in, โBe quick, or Iโll break your head.โ
William dared not joke around anymore. He shut up and got to work.
After a quick examination, he shrugged. โSheโs running a high fever. Other than that, nothing serious.โ
Randy rolled his eyes. โWhat, you were hoping for something more? Shouldnโt you be happy sheโs not worse off? Do your job before Marion breaks something.โ
William shot him a mournful look, and Randy urged, โWhat are you waiting for? Give her the fever reducer.โ
William complied, taking the fever medicine out. โLook, next time, donโt call me for something so minor. Iโve got five surgeries lined up, and do you have any idea how brutal the work culture is? My boss makes me pull double shifts with no overtime pay, and for this, I had to take a plane. My bossโฆโ
โYour boss is right there,โ Randy interrupted, nodding toward the doorway, where Andrew sat calmly in his wheelchair.
He smirked, โDid I just hear someone complain?โ
William put on a flattering smile. โBoss, no one was complaining. Iโm your most loyal employee. Iโd follow you for life.โ
Randy cringed at the pathetic display, wondering how a man so good-looking could be such a brown-noser.
โLeave us,โ Marion said, his eyes never leaving Debraโs face. The chatter seemed to bother him; it had shown on his face.
โLetโs go. Donโt bother them anymore,โ Randy muttered, dragging William out by the back of his collar.
William grunted, โMy medical kit.โ
After they were gone, Andrew said, โLet her rest. Tomorrow, send her back.โ
Marionโs eyes narrowed. โWhat are you planning?โ
The Nichols family had come to Debraโs door to cause trouble. There was no way Andrew didnโt know about it.
Andrew was unfazed. โTo change public perception, we need to put in the work. If you want whatโs best for her, you know what to do.โ
Chapter 612
Without waiting for a response, Andrew motioned for his butler to wheel him out of the room.
As night fell, at the Lowe Mansion, Drake was watching the news on his laptop. A faint smile played on his lips as he leaned back in his chair.
Peter stood beside him and reported, โWeโve investigated. The woman from the other night is Debra Frazier, a nominal manager at the McKinney Group. Before her family went bankrupt, she was one of Seamar Cityโs most well-known heiresses. Her marriage to Juan is practically over, and sheโs currently filming a reality show on our island.โ
โDebraโฆโ Drake drummed his fingers on the desk. His smile deepened.
