After a quick round of introductions, everyone was thrown into the first challenge: venturing into an untouched part of the island, a region specifically chosen by the show. The production team had set up safe zones and handed out survival wristbands to each participant to ensure their safety.
Debra stared at the smart wristband in her hand and asked Juan, โDo you know how to use this?โ
โDesigned for adventures, itโs durable and of great quality,โ he replied.
โDo you know how to use it?โ she repeated, too embarrassed to admit her cluelessness when it came to gadgets like these.
Juan pointed to the buttons. โThis oneโs for an SOS signal. Thatโs your location tracker. These show directions, and hereโs the flashlight.โ
She nodded, making mental notes of everything.
At a loss, Megan muttered, โEdward, do you know how to use this?โ
โNope,โ he confessed, scratching his head.
Megan threw him a frustrated look. โUgh, youโre useless.โ
In contrast, the other two pairs were surprisingly familiar with the equipment. Theyโd both been in films that required them to use similar survival gear, so they had the upper hand.
The directorโs voice boomed from a megaphone. โNext up is your challenge. Each team will head into the undeveloped part of the island for a two-day, one-night treasure hunt. Youโll be tested on your ability to trust and work together in extreme conditions. Thereโs a mystery box hidden at a location marked on your map. To succeed, you must locate the treasure and take it back safely. Whoever retrieves it first will receive a grand prize from the show.โ
He continued, โRemember, your walkie-talkies are your only way of communicating with each other. Donโt lose them.โ
The live chat erupted with comments:
[A treasure hunt in the wild? Classic. But doing it with your ex? Thatโs new.] [If I go on a treasure hunt with my ex, forget the treasure. He wouldnโt make it out alive.] [Theyโre really testing these peopleโs patience. Are they sure no oneโs going to try to kill their ex?]
As Debra and Juan made their way toward the entrance of the wilderness, she frowned at the map. Their route was the longest, filled with twists and turns that made her head spin.
Juan smirked, โYouโre terrible with directions.โ
โYouโre not much better,โ she shot back, rolling her eyes.
A cameraman followed behind them, capturing every exchange.
Chapter 619
On a nearby luxury yacht, Drake watched the unfolding scene through binoculars. Standing beside him was Peter. โSir, our men have entered the wilderness.โ
โSurvival in the wild? I like it,โ Drake murmured, a smirk playing on his lips. He couldnโt wait to see his prey panic and run for their lives.
โYou donโt need me to spell out the rest, right?โ Drake asked.
โNo, sir,โ Peter replied, turning to two hulking men behind him. โYou two, get in there.โ
โGot it.โ
โRemember, Mr. Lowe wants them alive.โ
Drake chimed in, โActually, dead works too.โ
