Chapter 620
At the villa, Marion sat in the study room, watching the livestream on his computer. Randy was lounging nearby, munching on sunflower seeds.
โSeriously, island survival? Thatโs ancient. Are they really doing this? Is Andrew losing his touch? I mean, Debra is straying from stardom,โ he grumbled.
โI donโt know,โ Marion replied, staring at the screen.
The live feed showed Debra and Juan heading deeper into the jungle. The terrain was unforgiving. Trees and thick brush made it hard to see the path ahead.
Suddenly, Debra lost her footing. โAh.โ
Juan immediately grabbed her wrist, pulling her back upright.
โYou okay?โ
โYeah.โ
She pulled her hand away and continued on her way.
The live chat went wild.
[Why am I feeling things? Flipping.] [Who could say no to a rich, handsome CEO?] [Iโm shipping Debra and Juan so hard right now.] [Forget that gigolo. Debra needs to be with Juan. Heโs cold on the outside, but you just know heโs warm on the inside.]
Marionโs expression darkened.
โWhatโs for lunch? Iโm starving,โ Randy asked, oblivious.
But Marion didnโt respond, too focused on the chat.
Randy looked up and called out again, โMarion?โ
Marion turned his computer around, pointing at the messages in the comments section.
โCould these be from paid trolls?โ
Randy leaned in, expecting something more significant, but only saw some comments from fans shipping Debra and Juan.
โThey just seem like normal people shipping these two.โ
โThereโs no way anyone with common sense would think Debra and Juan make a good pair.โ
Randy bit his tongue, unwilling to argue. After all, the two had been the golden couple of Seamar City once upon a time. Sure, public opinion of Debra wasnโt great back then, but they were undeniably stunning together.
โCan you flood the comments?โ
โYes, why?โ
Randy had a sinking feeling and was then forced to sit down in front of the computer.
Soon, he began flooding the chat with new comments.
[Theyโre divorced. Thatโs it. I only ship her and her boyfriend.] [That silhouette? Itโs enough to kill Juan ten times over.] [No way am I shipping divorced couples.]
Seeing these shameless comments, Randy felt his talents were being wasted. He didnโt know how he had ended up being Marionโs troll.
Watching the chat gradually shift, Marion nodded in satisfaction. But just as he relaxed, the comments took a wild turn.
[Weird. I saw some strange comments earlier. When I checked, they were all from overseas accounts.] [Wait, could it be that gigoloโs secretly watching this live and hired bots to save face?] [Gigolo is just here to remind everyone that he is the rightful partner.]
Marionโs face turned stormy again as Randy, helpless, stammered, โUh, this oneโs not on me. Over a million people are watching. I canโt control all the comments.โ
These people were hard-core fans to sway.
Marion slammed the laptop shut, frustration bubbling over, but moments later, curiosity got the better of him. With a sigh, he flipped the computer open again.
